Expect JW.ORG figures to be inflated for August

I find myself trying to access the website, too often, to access the November WT. This WT is supposed to contain the details of the changes. So far, nothing.

I think that others are trying to do the same thing just to read about those details. I suspect that the WT ORG has this as a strategy to brag about the numbers, and to take credit for their campaign, when they claim how many hits they are achieving.

I strongly suspect that a vast majority of the hits on the JW.ORG website come from Witnesses themselves. The real question is, how many 'new' people remain interested after they look at the website. Not too many, I would suppose.

A COBOE has to access the site quite frequently, and I think a good number of R&F do too, but if there are a few of the general public having a look, it means that only a small number of the JW's with Internet access are using the site regularly. (If 25% of JW's worldwide have access, that is 2,000,000 hits).

The "Hit" rate should be much higher, it seems as though the R&F are not overly impressed by the site, and only go there when they absolutely need to download something.

Well over 19,000,000 worldwide have attended memorial events so it's no surprise they get millions of hits per month. It would be fascinating to know how many hits the similarly designed Mormon website gets a month.

If they start going on about how many people are visiting their site then it will be much easier to prove that they are only doing this for the bragging rights which is something they specifically claim that they don't do in regards to all their other numbers.

They have no idea of how many new interested persons are looking at their site as there is no way to tally this. At least with the publications they have numbers of placements (to interested persons) recorded. The only statistic that would prove any usefulness would be the number of genuine bible study requests that they have recieved and it is readily available to them, I wonder if they will publish that.

    Quarterback-

Which changes are you expecting to see in the Nov. w?

The Nov.15 study edition should be posted Thursday, Aug.14.

The Nov.1 issue should be posted Aug.21.

@steve lds.org can only dream about the daily traffic JW.ORG gets.

@Listener during 2013 they got about 50,000 requests for a bible study through JW.ORG

They can say whatever they want and there is no way to verify if it is true or not. They can say there were 7 BILLION hits in the month of August and no one in the organization would question it.

78% of hits to the LDS site are from within the United States alone. So not much global reach there.

I see too that their racial ideas still continue. Out of their entire 135 strong organisational line up there are only 2 are persons of colour and both operate exclusively in Africa.

The Nov. 15 w has not gone up on jw.org. They used to put new ones up on Thursdays. Last week was a skip week so I guess this is a skip week too.
