They seem to be using the word Holy in this magazine numerous times, maybe they are moving away from the term 'Holy spirit'.

WT's use of the word "holy" in reference to its doctrines is more closely related to full-of-holes Swiss cheese hole-ee, than 'pure and clean' holy.

"The life is in the blood". No-one dies either giving or receiving a blood transfusion. On the contrary, life, which is sacred, is preserved.

Thousands upon thousands of dead jehovah's witnesses. "The devil was a murderer from the beginning, he is the father of lies and all that is false". Amp bible.

Tricky little gb! Read it again..... They dont actually state dubbies cannot donate blood. They simply say that doctors encourage blood to save lives but that gods law on blood should be obeyed. plenty of wiggle room to explain that they are talkimg the misues of blood via WHOLE BLOOD TRANFUSION, not breaking it down into componants.

Please dont flip out, i clearly see the hypocracy, im only playing devils advocate

    In addition, Jehovah

decreed that if a man killed an

animal for food, he was to pour out its

blood and cover it with dust, “for the

life of every sort of flesh is its blood.”

    (Lev. 17:11-14)

But if jws follow the command to poour out the blood, how would it matter if it is whole blood or franctions of such, it must all be poured out; most if not all of hemoglobin-based products are made out of stored human or animal blood, blood that has not been poured out. Those who might say this is about animal blood, the WTS applies this to human blood as well.

    Was all of this unimportant

ritual? No. The use of blood on

Atonement Day, as well as the command

to pour the blood on the ground,

is in harmony with Jehovah’s earlier

command to Noah and his descendants

    concerning blood. (Gen. 9:3-6)

And the WTS uses this scripture and has for many years but tends to edit out this part:

(Leviticus 17:13, 14) 13 “‘As for any man of the sons of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who in hunting catches a wild beast or a fowl that may be eaten, he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust. 14 For the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood by the soul in it. Consequently I said to the sons of Israel: “YOU must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh, because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it will be cut off.”

How many jws know what is on the market for hemoglobin-based products and that many are based on animal and human hemoglobin...from blood that was not poured out?

    *** hb p. 27 Jehovah’s Witnesses—The Surgical/Ethical Challenge ***

Witnesses believe that blood removed from the body should be disposed of, so they do not accept autotransfusion of predeposited blood. Techniques for intraoperative collection or hemodilution that involve blood storage are objectionable to them.

*** rq lesson 12 p. 25 par. 6 Showing Respect for Life and Blood ***

Is it wrong to accept a blood transfusion? Remember, Jehovah requires that we abstain from blood. This means that we must not take into our bodies in any way at all other people’s blood or even our own blood that has been stored. (Acts 21:25)

Magnum - "I really thought they were going to gradually drop the blood doctrine."

    Ditto.

They probably would have, too, if the XJW community had left 'em alone about it, LOL!

The way I see it, they've staunched up so they wouldn't look like they were capitulating to their critics, same as they did with the "two-witness" rule a year ago.

Anybody remember this? "First they ignore us. Then they ridicule us. Then they fight us. Then we win."

We're in the "fighting" stage, people.
