It may not have been written so blatantly or directly before. But the idea that JWs should be obedient to the GB is really nothing new. Sadly, most of them won't even bat an eye.

They are blatantly leading the sheep to their demise. With all the rags about cutting back on work so you can pious-sneer, people are not going to be able to prepare for even a rather mild tribulation. What are they going to do for light if there is no electricity much of the day? Rolling blackouts could be a problem, not because of the great tribulation but because of simple shortages or deteriorating infrastructure.
And do they have any idea about the problems with our dollars? Even without astrology, it is mathematically certain that our dollar, based on debt, will collapse. Every dollar (toilet paper) in existence is debt, and must be paid back with more toilet papers. It must one day become toilet paper, and using astrology, the window of opportunity becomes prime this coming April right after tax day. Do the leaders insist on people learning a barter skill? What about stocking up, at least modestly, on necessities that are not going to go bad? Or, what about working more so they can buy gold and silver? If they really wanted people to preach, they would wait and urge people to do secular work until the dollar becomes toilet paper. With the money they thus earn, they would buy silver. Then, after the dollar is toilet paper, they can use their silver (it will be a lot more valuable then), so they can pious-sneer for a while. But no, they are being led right into destitution.
Imperfections? They are not merely making a mistake--say, urging people to buy gold when silver will be anywhere between 4 and 300 times more effective per toilet paper spent. They are urging people to dispense with it altogether and pious-sneer, right when they need to be focused on earning money and securing its value.
Not to mention, the damnation workings at the boasting sessions. The talks are about dispensing with everything that makes a person a human. People with health problems are ignoring them, waiting for the New Communist Order. Education is disparaged. The new Kingdumb maladies seem designed to vibrate negative things into your soul, which survives into future lifetimes. These are not merely mistakes from imperfect people. They are deliberate acts of war against the congregation. Sure, they do have a few good tips--particularly not smoking. But, does one have to be a jokehovian witless to not smoke?
