Some people leave because of rebellious nonconformity issues.

They live a life of freedom with little self direction from being overtly oppressed being a JWS.

All too often though they get themselves into problems from out of that freedom, eventually seeking some direction once again.

    .

I've been on this site for more than 6 years now I don't perceive there's a growing increase of people returning to the JW organization.

Really how can anyone measure since they would just simply stop posting.

Blood moons or not, Saturn is entering Sagittarius. This is good news--for cults. Last time Saturn was in Sagittarius, people flocked to the jokehovian witless cult. This aspect creates dissatisfaction with the status quo, and too many end up being exploited into joining cults while this is going on. (Notably, this is also a stron aspect to have your dollars become toilet paper and for us to go back to gold and silver as money.) Problem is, too many who were once active jokehovians will be under the influence of Sagittarius Saturn, without even knowing it, and see a little tiny problem with the world and go running right back to the jokehovians.

And that's on top of the hounders trying to locate inactive jokehovians. They are being hounded to do this, and this Saturn aspect is perfect for them to get extra results. Not to mention, all it takes is one judge to rule that one's baptism as a jokehovian witless is a legally binding contract (Sagittarius Saturn also favors that), and they will be able to drag people back and court-order them to practice the religion. And sue, imprison, or drug anyone under this order if they do not comply.

I think I will take the dollar becoming toilet paper. That will hinder them from executing this, and besides I can always keep stacking silver (and gold) so I can come out ahead when it happens. And not donate any to the Worldwide Damnation Fund.

They will go back for a few weeks and then once again they realize it's nothing but bulls... and will say good bye again.

So, deep down, these poor souls still think the meaning of life is to follow a carrot dangling before them. They are not thinkers. Apparently, they just can't bear the burdens JW's are called upon to bear. So they leave, then come back and load the burdens back on. Then the burdens become too heavy, and they leave again.

I agree that these non-thinking types need to do some homework and figure out that blind obedience to charlatans cannot lead to a better life in any way. It's harder for some than for others to think for themselves and forge their own path.

    So sad!

We already had the biggest Moon we probably won't see in our life-times again pass by. We just had the "Super Moon", Blood Moon, Blue Moons and soon the Harvest Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Halley's Comet happen but nothing happened, why? Sounds like these people are clueless about JW teachings, their deluded if they think their god is going to accept a bunch of selfish people who kicked back almost the entire "Work Day" and showed up the last "Five Minutes" to get their reward, Not! What do these friends think their going to accomplish? You remember making fun of people who showed up on the Memorial and to be excoriated by the COs saying "You won't be saved attending one Meeting a year!".

They have the same selfish motive of the Isrealites and Vast Company of Mixed Crowd that eventually got killed off before their grandchildren inherited the Promise Land. If the religion taught by the Watchtower is true, all people who practice the love Jesus Christ taught are all going to die!

I guess it's comparable to someone with alcohol "issues" ceasing to use it - but periodically experiencing a relapse. The key is to see it as a relapse -and taking yourself in hand to get the hell out of there. A relapse, so to speak, doesn't mean the alcohol is okay anymore than returning to the Kingdom Hall means it must be "the Truth". It is not at all unusual for people to experience ambivalence and "second thoughts" when they try to move away from harmful practices, including membership in a religious group.

Officially out for almost 10 years.

Never will go back to that trash.

However, the draw of famly ties are too much for some and if they go back to the Watchtower's trash they get their family ties again.

It's not worth it to me, though because I accept my family the way they are even if they call me nasty names because I don't believe anything those 7 old bastards up in NYC dream up on the 6th floor of bethell anymore.

I'm feeling the same way as you Honesty, I am really quite distanced from my JW family, but so what ? it is their choice, not mine, and they are free to make that choice.

As to the odd individual going back, (obviously odd in both senses of the word), the WT has a programme running where they try to get such ones to "go back". (Low hanging fruit). As I told the guys (Elders) who asked me to "go back", that is not in fact possible, the religion I left no longer exists, I would be joining a new faith, like a brand new convert.

I think any who back who do not do so for famioly reasons and with eyes open, but go back still believing there is some truth in the Scam, must be extremely lazy intellectualy, they have made zero effort to examine the thing, they were probably extermely lazy as JW's preferring to allow the WT to do their thinking for them.

That is a dangerous mental state, where you will be led along a road by unscrupulous scammers, where you are bled emotionally and financially dry.

Personality types have quite a bit to do with this. Do not underestimate that fact.

A person with a preference to be a Feeling type on the Jung, (Myers-Briggs), scale is not likely to think much why they left. Most people, (even those with a preference for Thinking), leave because the "fear" of staying in, (and all staying in might mean at a particular moment), outweighs the fear of leaving. This becomes the tipping point, and pushes someone out of the KH door. The difference with thinking types, is they will try to understand why they left, (what broke or what was always broken). Feeling types might look for confirmation, but that is likely as far as they will go in many, (but obviously not all), cases.

When someone does not perform the necessary thought process of educating themslves, (to TTATT and reality in general), learning to think critically, and applying that education to a critical thought process, they are always in danger of going back, should another emotional wave, (usually of fear once again), force them back in. It is unfair, but it is reality.
