Because it's a scam, lol. All the Witnesses can have whatever they want... when they are dead (or when Armageddon comes: whichever is sooner, lol) but for now, they have to give their money and time on a kind of instalment plan, so they can benefit from the big pay-off. The Nigerians are amateurs compared to the GB, lol.

Hold on everyone. Things are getting out of hand. Are you forgetting that women have smaller brains? After witnessing some of the microphone debacles caused by some Servants, I shudder to think of a sister trying to put a battery in a microphone. Just think of the problems she would have in the sound booth. All those buttons and what not?!?! Which one does she push again??? Jehovah, what do I do?!?! Flatline...... how many spiritually uplifting comments are we willing to lose because of a woman's ineptitude??
It would actually create more work for the brothers, as one of them would have to constantly baby-sit her. Like a mine in war, it would take out three men. One dead and two to carry he wounded! What happens when she starts crying? Also, the close proximity of working with spiritual gifts in men, many with fine qualities, could cause sexual tension. This could lead to immorality. How easily could a knowing look or accidental touch while adjusting the gain, lead to something more. Consider too, many sound booths mask hand movements.
There is also the issue of sound booth height. Would it really be proper for a woman to be physically elevated to that level? She could literally be above the brothers! Surely that would lead to additional problems.
Finally, have you ever seen a woman handle a microphone?! The shape of a michrophone is extremely sexually arousing to women. They develop a gleeful, wistful look in there eyes. Imagine their trembling, eager hands as the desperately try to compose themselves in front of the congregation. They must adjust the microphone again and again while gazing upward at the speaker, staring into his eyes with a look that says," Is this good?!?"
No, no, the GB have made he right call. Sisters like AWatcher, should not tax their small brains with trying to juggle multiple tasks. Neither should they work in close proximity to brothers AND microphones. That whole situation is a powder keg of emotion, one lustful spark could cause a conflagration of immorality, rivaling the orgies of Ancient Rome.

I agree, this struck me as silly from a fairly young age. They can rule as kings (um... queens?) and priests in heaven, but they can't read the Bible to the congregation from the stage.

Because women will not be a part of the 144,000, that is why. The Org. just wanted to show they were not partial...All sorts will be a part of the 144,000...NOT...Rev. says it clear & concise...Rev. 14: These are the ones who did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins. So if women are a part of 144,000 did they not defile themselves with women/men. If it's true that they were not defiled by women, that should either let us know, they are all men, almost like eunuchs....they cannot be tempted by any human...male or female.
I think they shot themselves in the foot again...
But that is an interesting point....if they are annointed, why can't handle the mic & other priviledges.....speak at conventions & assemblies, all the stuff males can do.
I like this point...now I have to figure out, how to say something to a sister or brother....but it'll go over their head, just like other stuff..

Ahh but when the annointed go to heaven won't they lose their physical bodies and become sexually neutral? Willies are only a necessary requirement for full brain function and positions of authority whilst in human form as far as I always understood things.

As a child I knew one or two gracious older ladies who accepted their role in the congregation but were expecting a "heavenly call" after death. I wonder if they ever thought "Just wait until I get up there!" ....when they were excluded from jobs around the Hall.
Today dubs would only say that they are following a scriptural pattern in appointing men as elders & servants. Nobody in authority today would say what Sam Herd's recording said.
