I'm sure this has been thought of before, but while I was gardening today (great time to let the mind think deeply) , I thought of this:

The Org (GB) teaches that only a few go to heaven, therefore everyone else is prevented from entering.

SO, are THEY the scribes and pharisees that Jesus spoke of at Matt 23:13?

"woe to you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites!, because you shut up the Kingdom of the Heavens before men; for you yourselves do not go in, neither do you permit others to enter!"

(Of course, this is all theoretical, as one needs to actually beleive in the bible and all it contains in order for this to be even relevant)

I thought of the text: verse 15:"--you traverse the sea and dry land to make one proselyte, and when he becomes one, you make him a subject for gehenna twice as much so as yourselves.-- " for as an Other Sheep she will not get to partake, so not have everlasting life, resurrection, John 6. loose it all for having rejected Christ.

again, just to prove how wrong wt writers are and always have been. as an internal contradiction.

really we are just fine, need no redemption, no removal of the twirling swords, no chastising of the talking snake.

You are right Stuckinarut and I personally believe this is the greatest travesty of the JW religion. Their are many JW's who sincerely want to understand the truth's of the bible and are being decieved. The Governing Body are responsible for this .

Listener- What 'truths' in the Bible are you referring to.

Stuck- you realize by this statement from Jesus he is admitting he doesn't know sqwat about Judaism....

JWs are one of the most judgemental religions there is, they shut the Kingdom of God up to everyone who does not measure up to their personal standards. If you have not been to Meetings in Years, they are losing their ability to use the Bible and speak at the Door in Field Service. They have become obsolete, now they are walking Spam messangers for JW.ORG!

Bucket- Jesus was the most Judgemental of people, just look at that verse quoted in the opener. Christianity was all down-hill from there.

For one, the Kingdom of heaven is open for us all. If you don't believe that then that is your personal choice whereas here we have a religion commanding their followers to believe that it is not true.

Yes, there will be varying ideas on religious views in general here on this forum....but the point I was highlighting was that the org, JW, prevents people from being allowed to have faith in going to heaven as a result of the doctrines taught.

This is therefore in opposition to what Jesus, the founder of christianity supposedly said.
