Hopefully none of the women. But I can't be 100% certain on that.

I think the matter was so insignificant that the Bible doesn't say one way or the other. I don't know why modern day witness leaders make such a thing out of it.

    Good point.

    Probably the minority.

Shaving daily may also have been too tedious (and risky) without modern conveniences?

What can be wrong with a neat and well-kept beard?

The Answer is 0. (Post Moses Any Way)

The reason is that Everyone in the Bible Followed the Mosaic Law, and the Mosaic Law had a certain stipulation on Beards Leviticus 19:27 " You shall not round off the hair on your temples or mar the edges of your beard."

21:5 " "'Priests must not shave their heads or shave off the edges of their beards or cut their bodies."

A beard was a symbol of Servace to God, and the men were very proud of it.

There is an example of shaving in Ezekiel 5:1 " “And you, O son of man, take a sharp sword. Use it as a barber’s razor and pass it over your head and your beard. Then take balances for weighing and divide the hair." This symbolized the nations spiritual adultery!

Genesis 4:14 " Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they quickly brought him out of the pit. And when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes, he came in before Pharaoh." - It was the Edyptians who were clean shaven or with Go-Tees.. Joseph shaved this one time, so that he would not anger Pharaoh (When going before him) and possibly incurring death.

My favorite subject. What is so ironic is how opposed JWs are to homosexuality yet all the men have feminized faces. The military confuses me for the same reason. If your dad doesn't have a beard you've got two mums. Perhaps Pilate, who repented and became a Christian?

Until 1968, the WTS did not picture Jesus with a beard.

The Organization must not have read Isaiah 50, until after 1968 - "I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard; I hid not my face from disgrace and spitting."

One can't " pull out a beard" - If there is no beard to pull out.

Thank you for sharing those interesting observations objectivetruths.

Just when one thinks one is close to unlearning all Watchtower error...

It is becoming increasingly embarrasing to admit we ever believed and followed these men and ate their never ending mounds of rotten and poisonous "food".
