  Google Michael Weems, former US marine who is in a medically induced coma after being beaten by a mob of people ticked off about Ferguson. The mob apparently followed the man and his friend and purposely beat him (didn't we used to call that premeditation) and despite calls for an investigation into it on the basis of it being a hate crime, the police refuse to do so.

  Al Sharpton never showed up. Obama didn't call. Holder was too busy eating lunch.

  Dillan Taylor was walking out of a convenience store when he was shot to death. He didn't rush the cops. It is thought he was wearing headphones and didn't even hear them. No matter though - the cop shot him in cold blood for no reason - if his hands were up would we be selling the same t-shirts? Of course not. You can't politicize either of the above if you are Obama, Holder and Sharpton - and celebrities won't show up unless there's a camera to capture their best side.

  Absolutely it is about rogue officers but it is also in the fact that the training is now done military style as a direct result making the police also your anti-terrorist first line of defense. Accountability? Corruption? Holder is the top dog - what has he done to address it all? Nothing. People have watched for years as towns get armored tanks and military hardware to use in domestic situations - the money comes from the Federal government. Obama now proclaims to be wringing his hands about it and promising an investigation. As a way of deflecting any real investigation about it, or to keep the people occupied away from the issue of police militarization, it is far easier to make it an issue of race. In that way, the media can salivate over pictures of them getting a tear gas sprung on them and act all outraged, everyone can scream about their 1st ammendment rights - keep it front page news and you won't demand real answers and plans that would address poverty, growing economic inequality, lack of housing, 52 million people on food stamps, illegal immigration, unemployment, homelessness, education and lack of opportunity - all creating misery, frustration and unrest at so many levels it's like a ticking time.... sw
