This is a standard public talk line, as CaptainSchmideo said, and what's more, it's a totally uncontroversial remark. Who can get upset about this? It's something people say all the time. Now if he specifically criticized the government for not letting all those Witnesses through for the IC....

"Politicians The Watchtower usually promise a moon and not deliver to their promises, this is disappointing to the voters Publishers who have high expectations," he said.

Mr Mashilipa said believers needed to seek God's Kingdom which he said never fails, unlike human governance.

Of course, he doesn't mention god's govt. hasn't done a damn thing for the first 100 years it has existed (or 140 years if you go by CT Russell/GB 1.0 numbers). At least the government in Zambia provides basic services to its people.

    Human government: 1

    God's government: 0

As soon as JWs have the all clear to vote, then they can complain about politicians not doing what they were voted in to do!

Now this is a strange dichotomy!!!!

Political leaders are voted in by their electorate whom they rule over.

If they screw up and renege on their campaign rhetoric they are voted out of office.

The Governing Body individually are religious-political-corporate leaders that are voted in by the existing members of that body.

If they renege on and constantly change their rhetoric there isn't a DAMN thing that the people that they rule over can do about it.

Sounds like a nice gig to me if you can get in on it!

Great image Watchtower-Free. Nice quote too. I wonder how many people were told that Jesus wasn't their Mediator before they got baptized as a JW?

Why not do a door to door campaign on it?

"Hi, My name is Perry and we were encouraging bible reading in your neighborhood this morning. You know, Jesus is not the Mediator between God and the members of our congregation. Do you think you might like to visit our Christian congregation sometime"?

Stephen Lett (Best to forget) should be the poster boy for Seniles Anonymous. Like the other dimwits on the GB, the poor man continually makes a fool of himself. He should make a LOT of speeches, to give us more to laugh about.
