THIS IS WHAT WITNESSING HAS BEEN REDUCED TO IN 2015

Funny that they still need at least two people per cart.

I wonder if the G.B realised how much most JW's really hate the DtoD work, and therefore brought Trolley/Cart work in as an easy option, that the R&F would think was more important than DtoD, and yet was not so onerous.

I am thinking of taking them a couple of Arizona Iced Teas or something, on the next hot day. It's in the direct sunlight where they are set up, and why not be nice? Show them that an exJW, disfellowshipped person can be happy and caring.

I dunno, maybe I'm getting soft in my old age.

You are more human and show more compassion than they do, show them the kindness that a true Christian should show.

Whilst visiting a Scottish coastal town where the large cunard cruise liner Queen Mary 2 was berthed, I came upon 2 older sisters standing like forlorn gate posts each side of 2 trolleys/ carts their demeanour was in no way encouraging to any passer by and in fact where they had set up was on a damp pathway which saw little sunlight. The main footfall to and from the docks to the town was very obviously on their opposite side and used by most if not all passengers and locals/visitors alike. Now normally I would stop and say hi,and pose a question , on this occasion however the ship and general buzz in the town was more interesting. I couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness that their thoughts of those who were enjoying the occasion and socialising with happy smiles and laughter was that we're all under satans control and doomed by not being part of their miserable lot.

It's because the reality is no witness has ever enjoyed talking to people about religion anymore than the people liked hearing about it. They just like hours to sooth fear obligation and guilt. Now they cam waste their life just wracking them up standing around

Its a bit deceiving, the appearance of the trolly people. The reality is only a select few get to stand at the carts, pionsneers approved by the CO. Most dubbies srill trudge from door to door in between coffee breaks. The 'work' is a joke in its totality, not just just the few who stand by a cart.

Haha...the first time I read this, I read "the troll people"...and suddenly had a vision of a JWdotOrg cart positioned under a stone bridge, well out of the way of foot traffic with two trolls standing next to it. Meanwhile all the foot traffic and wagons blissfully continued over the bridge paying no attention to the "troll(y) people" underneath.

Believe it or not, a brother here in Romania actually has his own commercial stand in a nearby market and he places a JW cart next to it, and apparently talks to interested people while selling his own products. And he counts the time. And the elders congratulate him for that. God damn, if this is witnessing, it has really gone down the toilet. The dude basically does what he would do anyway as part of his business, but attaches a JW cart and he's suddenly a pioneer. People can pull hours out of thin air nowadays.
