  "It's not just the Catholics" -- so begins an ad promoting Tuesday's Dateline NBC show about the JW/Child molestation coverup scandal.

  Then they show a silent lamb saying she was raped. They went on to say it's true in not just one, but hundreds of cases. Cut to Bill Bowen, saying "they know!" (obviously referring to the leadership of the WTS organization).

  The name of the religion in question is left out, but I think we all know.

  Cut to Stone Phillips and Jane Pauley -- with the voiceover saying "Dateline NBC, Tuesday!"

  Thanks Gopher,when this airs,shit is gonna hit the fan.Lets see WBTS shove thier childish dribble down the throats of the world they condem.It ain`t gonna happen.This is bad PR to the max.People will throw them off thier doorsteps,they will be shunned on the street corner.If you think they lacked credibility before,wait till dateline airs..(LOL)...OUTLAW

  The second ad just aired!

  They clearly showed a Kingdom Hall and an Awake from an old bound volume regarding Child Molestation (or Protecting Children, something like that...)

  They showed the Bowens walking and the voiceover said that the church had been the main thing in their lives -- but now they had to struggle with it (or something to that effect).

  Then they had Bill on camera, saying "I'm fighting against God. That's what they say."

  Thanks to Aroarer (her post reminded me)-- they had a silent lamb who had been a victim of a JW pedophile respond to a question about telling the police, "They told me not to tell -- or else!"

  So it's not just the Catholic church that has this problem any more.

  The ad was quite riveting -- I'd expect to see it on various NBC programs between now and Tuesday night.

  Those ads were great.

  My wife (non JW but thinks JWs are harmless) was stunned and wants to watch and started yelling at me as to what time.

  I told her 8 pm (EDST).

  hehehehe - love it.

  Has anyone checked the AP for today's coverage?

  I wanted to title it 'Bill Bowen's hearing'.

  I just had a call from my friends who were at the candlelight vigil. The elders didn't show up for Bill's judicial hearing. The meeting was to be at 7:30 and they just didn't come. Now what?

  There were 30 victims there, and 300 candles in paper bags, with victims names written on them. Lots of reporters, from other countries too, and the local TV news crews.
