Well, in response to the OP, wishing that there was an Armgaddeon to wipe out horrific human behaviours is kind of like trying to teach people to be nicer by obliterating "society". Yes, we can despair over acts of terror, but to wish there was a "loving" God who would wipe out humankind (who do not comply with a religion's requirements) through another kind of terror kind of exposes the violent intent of most religions (albeit, leaving the violence in God's hands).
