I hate to read the WT, but I skimmed the July 15 Study Edition. I found many examples of propaganda, of course, but a couple things really stood out.

    1) The future of the preaching work. Check out page 30-31. Need I say more?

    2) The footnote reference to a JW.ORG article, as opposed to the CD Library, on page 14. Need I say more.

You don't need a weather man to know which way the wind blows. Look out kids.

DD: The footnote reference to a JW.ORG article, as opposed to the CD Library, on page 14.

They must just LOVE this technology for two reasons.

    1. The articles on JW.ORG only go back to 2000 so there's no way in hell that newbies can research the "history" of the WTBTS using only JW literature, but even if they DO want to go look up an earlier article among those that are available on-line,
    2. The spin-doctors at JW Central can change the old articles to make them agree with "New Light"

It's brilliant, that is if you go in for revisionist history, authoritarian, manipulative mind-control propaganda!

    Let's review: It's a cult!

I just read it, and I'm not sure I understand what you are referring to. Care to expand?

    Watchtower, July 15, 2014, p. 31:

    iPad Witnessing

    i-Pad Witnessing

    I don't get it?!?

Do they not know that you need wi-fi to get to their precious little jw.org website?

Does the WTBTS have a side deal with Apple? Or did they just buy up a shit-load of their stock?

Seriously, how is this supposed to work in rural Kentucky? Uganda? Zimbabwe? Mumbai? Kazakhstan? The Mexican altiplano? Eastern butt-fuck "wherever the need is great"?

The trick, oubliette, is the JW app. You can download several of the videoa. You have offline access to loads of content. Not to mention downloading publications in iBooks. Did you know an emailed publication counts as a placement?

konceptual99, I was aware of the app, but didn't really know how it works as I have NOT downloaded it to my iPad. Don't want it contaminated with false doctrine! ...

    Thanks for the clarification.

DATA-DOG Good point , I remember just a couple of years ago joking with a brother about if WBATS keeps cutting back the literature there going to force us to use tablets like the Ipad to preach, we both jokingly said that will never happen!!! Oh how times change...

I wouldn't be surprised if the WT and AW went completely digital soon, that would cut out a major expense for the greedy CEO's at bethel!

Umm, I thought they could just download it and store it on their Jpads for service and meetings and stuff.
