I'll try and come up with something to integrate it into the forum.
How about a big map of the world that you can zoom in / pan around or separate maps of each country / continent where you could put push-pins in?
Failing that, as the profiles can already store the location down to region / county and sometimes city I could possibly look at using some mapping service to show where people are? (maybe Ballistic wouldn't mind helping to automate what he's been producing or I could provide the data to him in a nice format)
I think the maps are brilliant for people getting together and seenig who is nearby in their vacinity.

That's a great idea. I remember RevMalk doing something like that when LambsRoar started, but seem to remember the code for it was very error prone, so I guess that was the reason it was dropped. -

Yes, that was done with the bravenet I think but it costs money to have over a certain number of pins (and I guess we'll go over 50!)
It will be easy enough to do ... the decision is whether to do it to the region or just let people stick a pin in the map where they want.
I just need to find a large map of the world (as an image). The larger the better then I can resize it and let people zoom in / out and pan around.

I think they are all great ideas and I'm willing to help. I agree the bravenet map was not much good.
But I would like to say, use of the map should be voluntary and I would like to warn people here that the information is visible to the Watchtower society. We have a case here of someone being spotted on that Bravenet map and the congregation was informed.
It is strange trying to encourage people to add to it and warn them at the same time, bit like a government health warning I guess.

Looking at the excellent new map done by Ballistic it would appear Manchester is capital city of "apostates" in England.
