Crazyguy - Now that would confound them. JC would be the next meeting. They don't like the holy popes of the GB to be proved wrong.
How would you answer?

If we were in a house and it was on fire and we couldn’t walk we would have to crawl.
This IS me crawling!
An example of a sister with an iron lung was brought up to show that if she’s in this condition, we need to examine ourselves.
Thank you, I have examined myself and I am satisfied I am doing the best I can.
My friend apparently needs to pray for Holeeeeee Spirit to give the 'power beyond what is normal'.
I do pray for holy spirit, I must say Elder Bob, it sounds a lot like you're judging from appearances rather than seeing to the heart of the matter, like God does.
Going to meetings is not optional but a command. (I have to say I've never heard of it being a 'command' to attend).
Could you quote me the scripture that says that please Elder Bob? I would hate for you to stumble into pharasaical conduct without me having the chance to stop you with timely council.
We need to look at a divine hand in our life. Eldurr said that he shouldn’t be alive. In so many situations he can see God's hand in his life.
We do indeed. And look, you're alive and I'm alive... God is clearly taking care of both of us. Bye now!

Uhhh... what does this have to do with attending meetings?

This sister was confined to a machine 24 hours a day. Her account does not say at all that she went to meetings in this condition, but that people visited her and that she looked for every opportunity to witness.

Paul wasn't discussing going to meetings. He was talking about enduring despite challenges.

Please show me where it says it's a command. Oh, and please look up the definition of "forsake" in the dictionary.

And the point is...?

Tell them to butt out.
Sorry to be so blunt.
Her relationship with God is her business, not mere mortal men. Nothing can separate her from God's love.
Hope things work out for her.

l-q - The whole sheep herding visit would make me want to impale myself. It's so assinine and cultish.

quelly - She or he even thinks the whole thing was very tedious from what I can gather. Awake but not able to escape them just at this moment.

An answer:
I relentlessly follow the evidence whereever it leads, and it has led me to see that God has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with the WTBTS.
Rather than asking me, "Why don't I go?" I ask you, "Why do you stay?"

PUNK - I would just tell your friend to tell the elders that Jesus had compassion on those who were physically sick and disabled- but didn't browbeat them into submission. Didn't " guilt " them to feel they weren't doing enough. Your friend should tell the elders that " I'm sure Jehovah is a compassionate and loving God and he understands my situation more than any humans would. Thanks for your loving concern brothers, but Jehovah will help me endure. " Then tell your friend to ignore ther sheepherding visits. Just my 2 cents
