At the end of his final talk he said of the GB: they are telling the higher ups , "start getting ready we're not going to be around much longer!" And we expect the angels to release the four winds any day now!" My first thought was why are you building a corporate country club then?! These guys really are delusional or whats really happening is they see things unraveling and they are trying to scare everybody back in submission

Scaring the shit of people is what the WTS. has been doing for over a century , propagated by their own literature.
Fear is the main component to which the WTS. lures people into their organization , from there they assimilate power and control.
100s years from now if the WTS is still around they will still be saying the end is soon.
Doing so has a proven track record.
Exploiting people's fears and insecurities is what the WTS does to sustain its operation as a religious publishing house.
.
C T Russell the first head editorial director of the WTS. knew to attract attention to the WTS literature you had to have something alluring
and to help sustain the broad based readership, that original endeavor never really left the WTS.

You have an excellent grasp of the whole situation.
My main line of reasoning nowdays on why this cult is not the truth is the unreasonableness of their recent new light doctrine changes.
It make no sense to go all those years preaching "this generation" will not pass away before the end, and that "all the anointed" are the F&DS, then just a few years before the end change the JW beliefs to "over-lapping generation" and "only the GB" is the F&DS. How can that be truth? Pick a truth and stick to it please!
It's all bullshit, they know it, they are scared that it is coming apart, and thus they will allow statements like this to scare JW's back into submission. You will never see this bullshit in print. Just CO's by word of mouth, saying how close the GB thinks the end is.
An intelligent Creator who commits all the OT atrocities, then demands that modern-day humans must believe everchanging Watchtower bullshit, live a JW lifestyle, and turn in a time report each month to the Watchtower in order to survive Armaggedon is utterly ridiculous.

We had a visiting speaker yesterday who gave a " death threat at Armageddon" talk yesterday. As soon as he opened his mouth I could tell where he was going with the talk. I've learned to ignore these clowns and their bs. Opening poster is very observant. If the end is months away why are you building a new branch and why do you have investments in stock markets
