JW.Org Google Ranking Not Looking Good for WT!

    Nine times out of ten a genuinely interested person wanting to learn about JWs will first type the search words 'Jehovah's Witnesses' as opposed to typing 'JW.Org'. And when they do...this is a sample of what choices they have to choose from on the first page:

    3. Jehovah's Witnesses? - Want to learn about Jehovah's Witnesses?

    As can be seen from the above sample, JW.Org comes up fourth with anti and opposing articles detrimental to the faith's cause appearing above and below as alternative choices. This is obviously an uphill battle WT's writing committee overseeing the JW website clashes with day-in and day-out!

    A battle not even 'Jehovah' himself will waste his time fighting for them!!!

    100 people could type the same thing into Google, and get different results! One person can type in the same search on different computers, and get different results!

    So then if a JW is looking at porn site which seems to be an epidemic for JW males, then when they/I google "Jehovah's Witness" they may expect this results:

    jw.org is first for me when i search both jw and jehovah's witnesses

    as DwainBowman said, results are not always the same across multiple computers because Google tailors results based on your previous searches and ads you click and other stuff, but jw.org should always be #1 simply due to wt's seo

    When I got my first computer in 1996 I typed in Jehovah's Witnesses and that began my exit out. I was already disgruntled and what I read back then opened my eyes. Everything I read I passed on to my daughter and then I bought her a computer. To make a long story short......we are both out now for 15 years or so. She woke up before I did. Our life is so wonderful now. She has a career and I am happily retired in Florida.

    I used an Ipad, Apple smart phone, desk top and lap top and not once was jw.org first.

    I called up a friend across town who agreed to make a similar search using multiple devices and one out of 4 of his devices came up with jw.org on top.

    Regardless if jw.org comes up 1st, second or fourth on the first google search page; the point is of the ten or so web sites that come up on the first page, only one is more than likely going to be jw friendly (jw.org) and the other 9 will be hostile, anti and inflamatory search results toward the WTBTS.

    There is not a whole lot of businesses that can expect much growth or new business when there is an abundance of critical commentaries, write-ups and other anti websites that speak volumes of your bad products and poor service. And WT has both...bad products and poor service!

    Bottom line: Business cannot currently be good for 'Mother'!!!

    My take on this.

    Smart, educated people will go online and check things out, especially before committing to something as Life changing as selling your soul!

    Online studies have shown that people decide more and more about things like traveling or buying a product by reading online reviews. There was one case study where negative online comments about a 5 Star Hotel impacted sales and lead to a drop of over 30% in revenue. Nowadays Hotels are very aware of the power that the online community has.

    Heck, if people need other peoples opinion to buy a simple phone or to book their next trip or even to visit a restaurant, then it is safe to assume that internet savvy people will check out a religious organization that just knocked on their door asking to donate their entire Life to them!

    The more, eh....[cough, cough]...."uneducated" type of person will swallow a dirty, wet toad if you tell them in a convincing way that a mysterious voice talks to you every night!

    Recently there was a case in the news about a lady that gave all her Life savings (167.000 Euros) to a healer, because, well, probably because she was desperate. She was even high school educated and had her own business. People will do all kind of stupid things if they are desperate enough and someone else is convincing enough and willing to abuse the situation. THIS is where the **.BORG excels at! They are masters in the abuse of emotionally unstable and desperate people. It's like shooting fish in a barrel!

    In this cases it doesn't matter what comes up in Google.
