Good job, Aroarer.
I espcially like your quote that you don't want to be on the same level as fornicators, molesters. Well said.

Question for all. Should a molester be permantly expelled from the cong? Should he/she be prohibited from ever going preaching?

Its not should they be expelled or knocking on doors.
There needs to be a policy(ies) implemented to help protect the public and the congregation.
Does it mean NO door knocking - it could in some cases but there is way more too it.
Its something that the leadership needs to come to grips with or they will face the wrath of the public and its congregations in the years to come.

No I dont think they should be expelled. Yes I do think they should NOT be allowed to go preaching.
I think the power the WT has on its members -they could forbid them to be in contact with any minors. But if they think they are followers of Gods word. they should try to help the individual stop his sick ways..
They should also let the congregation know the offense. -

agreed Hawk,
the article ,(at least to me), made it seem like that was the
main issue the Pandelo family had.as regards to preaching, there is actually no need for the molestors to go door to door and put others in danger.....i.e. telemarket witnessing and letter writing and internet.
of course my solution of killing all molesters would remedy the
situation. -

No, permanently expelled is not the answer. If "repentant," it would be better for the pedophile to stay in contact with people who know he is one and will monitor his activities, assist him in resisting his impulses. And why should children in the community be exposed to his predatory actions unawares?
Should they go from door to door or be able to be in contact with JW children in car groups, etc. NO, NO, NO! As you pointed out Mike Musto, there is phone witnessing and letter writing.
I wouldn't send an recovering alcoholic to the bars to witness.
JWs seem able to mark people as bad association within the congregation for many minor, petty things. Why not use this technique here.
Here's my question, if the pedophile is "repentant," should he be allowed to go back to his home and be around his children?
Of course, in the nation of Israel, molesters would have been put to death. Off with their heads!
