This topic has been raised in the UN-NGO-WBTS thread, and I would hope that the discussion can be moved to this previousy started thread to keep from "tainting" the UN-NGO-WBTS thread.
I have quickly browsed most of the Google hits on FIREPHIM, and I see NOTHING which PROVES the ALLEGATIONS made by some of the anti-cult groups. Even the allegations date back to 1992-4. I suspect that the JWs may have somehow been mentioned by this group, and that thereafter an assumption became fact, with other anti-cult groups simply perpetuating the original assumption.
Surely if there were any validity to the WTS's membership in FIREPHIM, there would have been several "smoketrails" occurring from 1994 to now. Actually, I didn't even see anything documenting any FIREPHIM activities after 1992-4.
IF anyone has PROOF or DOCUMENTATION, other than some anti-cult group's ALLEGATIONS, please provide such.

My thoughts exactly. Please see the thread I just started on this topic (WTS member of FIREPHIM)

Nelly:
If you would have simply looked, you would have seen that TS started his new thread roughly 25 minutes AFTER I posted to this old (yours) thread.
Also, I didn't say to not discuss this topic. I said that I thought it should be discussed in a separate thread than the UN-NGO thread.
When I did a search on JW.com to see if the topic had been previously discussed, this was the only thread that popped up. Therefore, I simply posted my comments to the thread that had already raised the issue.
I assumed that people would notice the date of the original post, especially since my post is not particularly consistent with such. (although TS obviously did not.)
NOW, do you have anything "positive" to put fort on this subjet?
My fault. I missed this thread when I posted the other one.
TS,
Here's the link of the scan of the status of this association.
No JW, only scientologist, moonies and raelian.

I don't remember the links just now, but it seems proven that the Watchtower WERE a member in FIREPHIM.
Also, it seems FIREPHIM is closed down, and the NEW organization buildt to do the same job is CESNUR - which the Watchtower IS a member of.
I have quite a lot of stuff on the Watchtower Observer about this, also lots of articles. If my memory serves me well, there is material stating what I said here as well...

I posted some info earlier (another post) that certainly seemed to show the WTS was indeed a member of FIREPHIM.
Kent: Thanks. I will check out the CESNUR info at your site a bit later, plus do some web searches.
