Where is the confirmation? Prove it!

On what basis you distrust on some topics and not in others?

An honest man I served with at Bethel was there and said this:

"We got the pocket-sized Bible. We are gonna get a revised songbook that will have about a dozen new songs. We learned and sang 3 of them today. On Monday we will have a language app and jw broadcasting. The broadcasting station will feature a 1 hr program from a Governing Body member each month. The Bible recordings are being revised to have characters and different voices. We got new light about the 10 virgins, the 10 talents, and Gog of Magog."

    Like millie210,

Here are the 3 things I CANNOT verify

    1) Basic Pioneering (10 hours)

    2) New Service Meeting part replacing Local Needs where individuals will give their experiences

    3) Bethelites with 5 or more years of service can do missionary service

I think there's probably been some confusion or misunderstanding.

What has probably been announced is that any publisher recording on average at least 10 hours a month since the last CO's visit will be entitled to attend the special meeting the CO has with the pioneers on the CO's visit.

Any update on this? As far as I can tell from trawling contacts and JW friendly sites is that there is absolutely no basis for any claim of a 10 hour, "basic pioneer" status. There is also no basis for a claim about bethelites being able to do missionary service after 5 years.

Does anyone have any proper, verified info on these claims?

Oh I can see it now: "Yes, the work to speed up. Our pioneer numbers tripled, because of the impact of tv.jw.org! Praise Jah!"

I just received a mass email from a close family member of a Bethel Biggie (can't be more specific) and it fails to mention the 10 hour "pioneer" program. The 10 hour pioneer issue seems like that would be "real exciting" and it's hard to believe it wasn't included if there was something mentioned about that.

It does mention the new spin on Gog of Magog, as well as new understanding on the "types & antitypes", "the parable of the talents", and "the parable of the 10 virgins". I'm curious to hear what is new there.

    Let me confirm these rumors

    1) This is 100% not true in regards to 10 hours

    2) Nothing of this sort was mentioned at the annual meeting - Only change to the service meeting is that after Jan we will be going over the new songs during the servive meeting.

3)No but Bethelites will now be able to attend pioneer school

I believe the rumour about the the basic pioneer of 10 hrs is true. It makes sense as to how the GB are elevating themselves and keeping all the rank and file in their places. pioneering won't be as much of an elitist occupation soon.

    I believe it's true

Likewise, i have two very reliable sources that were there. Neither has hinted or in anyway given any confirmation of this. I desperatly want this to be true but i have very serious reservations about the veracity of this report.
