Who'd have thought that what Jesus is alleged to have spoken 2,000 plus years ago was so damn seriously complicated that it required God's alleged unique channel of "Truth" on planet earth multiple attempts to get "just" right - and it still is probably not there quite yet in terms of accuracy?! Yeah, wow, the explicit move away from antityping is quite surprising to me. Someone here was just pointing out recently that types and antitypes are never talked about anymore, but I didn't think they would actually address this in a talk. It's amazing that the more they try, the more they fail. As pitzjw said, Gog and Magog don't come on the scene until AFTER the thousand years have ended.

As for the 10 virgins, did they even bother to explain Matthew 25:9? "The discreet answered, saying: ‘Perhaps there may not be enough for both us and you. Go instead to those who sell it, and buy some for yourselves.’ " The "oil" isn't faithful service. You can't buy faithful service. Must be something else that they haven't figured out, yet.

As for the 10 talents, this cannot represent the preaching work. Why not? Think about the one slave who buried his talent. The master told him that if he had at least deposited it in a bank so as to gain interest, then the master would have been happy. You can't put preaching in a bank, so to speak. This makes no sense.

The current bunch of doctrine gurus are truly inept, and if these notes are accurate, it is the proof.

They not only didn't need to talk about any of this, but they belittle their own history and previous doctrines by saying, in essence, don't over-analyze.

And they poo poo trying to understand the details of the virgins and the talents parables!
