@ watcher- since when has the "info" come in that order for a Witness? The ORG has always taught tht one can not understand the Bible without their direction. yes, they actually said that.

just to back up Separation of Powers....
w10 7/15 p.23 par.10 “The Spirit Searches Into... the Deep Things of God”
When the time comes to clarify a spiritual matter in our day, holy spirit helps responsible representatives of “the faithful and discreet slave” at world headquarters to discern deep truths that were not previously understood. (Matt. 24:45; 1 Cor. 2:13)
p.17: "Listening to the slave class means giving our full cooperation to its Governing Body."
p.27: "Since Jehovah God and Jesus Christ completely trust the faithful and discreet slave, should we not do the same?" "The slave thus deserves our complete trust"
p.28: "By all means, then, let us listen to the Christ and his trustworthy spirit-anointed brothers."
***w10 9/15 p.8 par.7 Earnestly Seek Jehovah’s Blessing ***
We cannot hope to acquire a good relationship with Jehovah if we ignore those whom Jesus has appointed to care for his belongings. Without the assistance of “the faithful and discreet slave,” we would neither understand the full import of what we read in God’s Word nor know how to apply it.
-- w10 9/15 p. 13 par. 8: "Similarly today, a Governing Body composed of spirit-anointed Christians contributes to the unity of the worldwide congregation. The Governing Body publishes spiritually encouraging literature in many languages. This spiritual food is based on God’s Word. Thus, what is taught is not from men but from Jehovah.—Isa. 54:13."
***w10 9/15 p.23 par.8 “Your Leader Is One, the Christ” ***
The anointed and their other sheep companions recognize that by following the lead of the modern-day Governing Body, they are in fact following their Leader, Christ.

Ah well, about that, now he hasn't appointed them over his belongings so maybe we shouldn't trust them..
Watchtower July 15, 2013 Who really is the faithful and discreet slave?
18 In view of the foregoing, what can we conclude? When Jesus comes for judgment during the great tribulation, he will find that the faithful slave has been loyally dispensing timely spiritual food to the domestics. Jesus will then delight in making the second appointment—over all his belongings.

SofP, I can't speak for other Witnesses, only for me.
The ORG has said a lot of quaint (pleasingly old-fashioned) things, and there is some truth to them. But the ORG's reality is not always my reality. I have a "threefold cord" (Jehovah, Jesus, and me) that the ORG is not a part of.

@ Watcher Unfortunately YOUR reality is not THEIR reality. As Gorbachov so eloquently puts it
" It's clear that a truth that can be a untruth tomorrow is no truth."
If you claim to be a witness, then by default you are expected to believe ALL the truths as explained by the ORG. That is what association with a cult implies. That being the case, if there is a God and he is the ultimate judge, he will judge you based on your being a Witness. There is no middle ground. You identify yourself as such, so you will be judged as such. THAT is one of the main reasons I have stepped away from the absurdity. Many will claim that people who leave are arrogant cause they don't accept the direction. I say, many who leave are humble cause they can not accept falsehoods taught as truth. They can not close their eyes to the arrogance of the leadership. They can not close their minds to what is logical and understandable.

Why can't individual Jehovah's Witnesses see that this religion is a nothing more than a cult & a scam?
This religion is so easy to see through. All the promises the Watchtower said was going to take place, and that the end was so close. The fact that they have changed major doctrine and are rebranding the religion to where some people don't even recognize it as Jehovah's Witnesses anymore just shows that it is lead by men who are changing things as they feel.
What God of truth would have people beliving certain things in order to survive the end, then all of a sudden change his truth? Utterly ridiculous.

A Watchter: You can have that threefold cord without being tied to a high-control organization. In fact, that organization can only come between you and God.

I think that's why the GB advisors have made the plan to first change the face of the
organization (jw.org and broadcasting) before changing the major JW doctrine.
The Major WBT$ JW Doctrine will "NEVER CHANGE"..
The Major WBT$ Doctrine Is:
"THE WBT$ CAN DO OR SAY WHAT THEY LIKE AND JW`s WILL EAT IT UP"..

Showed my wife today TV.jw.org and She responded:
- This is what the people want! (Give them bread and games, said by the roman emperor)
- And this is what they do with our money!

watcher: if you are happy, I am happy. I write this with no regrets and no resentment, towards you or my ex-wife. If she is happy, then thats all you need in this Life.
I don't believe in Jehovah, can't see him and don't need to. For me that is enough and my present Life is all I ever need. In all honesty, the idea of eternal Life doesn't attract me. I have embraced my biological and mental death as part of the natural cycle and I am OK with this.
Wish you well. No need to convince you otherwise as no argument will change your mind. You can only change it yourself!
