If Extraterrestrials are found existing, will people abandon the Bible?

I have heard people say: ‘if space exploration proves Extraterrestrials do exist, that would be the end of the Bible (which teaches earth is the only place there is life).

I feel this will not happen, because already Science proved certain views reflected in the Bible are wrong:

    1) Joshua stopped the sun to win the war. (Joshua 10:13)

    2) Satan—thinking earth is flat—took Jesus to the top of the mountain so that all kingdoms of the earth could be visible to the eyes (To person like Jesus, just saying is enough—why need a vision of all Kingdoms of the earth. If it is a magical vision—something like celluloid vision— that Satan intended, such an artificial vision could be shown from anywhere—why take the trouble of going all the way to the top of a mountain (which shows Satan is a creation of ancient humans who believed earth is flat)

Yet people’s belief in the Bible did not change (this shows faith in the scriptures are not dependent on the Science).

Yet there is a positive way to deal with the Bible—you can benefit even from its mistakes. For example, Paul says ‘what a miserable man I am … I want to do good, yet I cannot.’ (Romans 7:24) Bible itself says such statements are not the true part of the Bible. (Compare Jeremiah 8:8; Acts 20:28-30) You can disprove such statements if you take charge of yourself, as Bible itself says. (Genesis 4:7; Ephesians 4:24)

Interestingly, vices are like electricity—you can put it for beneficial purpose or harmful purpose. For example, you try to change anger, and you miserably fail. Now try changing the object of anger (rather than anger), and you will find anger becoming a virtue—get angry at yourself when you fail (not when others fail with regard to your expectation). Be greedy about doing good to yourself and to others …. Try this approach with each of the vices you know, you will find vices turning into virtues!

Well, you have to admit that IF aliens were to arrive, it would be a HUGE game changer. This would have much more impact that science proving the earth is a spheroid. Bible "science" can be justified somewhat by the culture and time period. Aliens arriving would be a total in your face shocker. Another thing to consider, is that the United States of America is the world power and it's a Christian nation. Aliens arriving would certainly upset things.

I've been to Walmart, I think the government is right in hiding the presence of aliens, if that's the case.

Christians have never been ones to let facts get between them and their religion. There's plenty of evidence right here on this planet that the bible is a man-made book with no divine inspiration, and that hasn't stopped billions of people from sticking with their faith.

Kalos - " have heard people say: ‘if space exploration proves Extraterrestrials do exist, that would be the end of the Bible (which teaches earth is the only place there is life)."

Thing is, it doesn't actually say that explicitly.

But that doesn't stop plenty of Biblical literalists from crafting their ideology accordingly.

The fundy Xtian worldview doesn't really allow for the possibility.

Subconsciously, Born Agains know this and it's why they fight against the ET idea with such vehemence.

200 years ago, Founding Father Tom Paine spoke about the 'multiplicity of worlds' and how they must cancel the Bible's claims.

I don't accept the idea of ET's fighting with each other over the earth. Since none of them ever land on the White House lawn, they're on the same page. Otherwise, some alien with a Ted Turner sort of personality would say "disclosure be happenin' today, monkey-boys!" and that would be that.

They would have to abandon the concept that god lives in earths backyard, that he knows all of us and cares for us all.

People are going to have some esplaining Lucy!

Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestrial life. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/36769422/ns/technology_and_science-space/t/hawking-aliens-may-pose-risks-earth/ Remember what happed when 'civilized' humans discovered the America's ....... they brought superior fire power, a host of deadly diseases and their own nasty religious beliefs.
