Take a look at these links. They will tell you more about the JW Cult.

Why must we closely examine the beliefs of the Jehovah’s Witnesses?

    Newlight2,

It's always a pleasure to see you post. You have done so much good, and I commend you for it. We don't agree on many theological issues, but I consider that irrelevant to the good work you have done and are doing.

Families always get alarmed when loved ones join sects or cults - no matter what the religion. You must have seen documentaries on how distressed parents get when their children join the Moonies or The Children of God or The Orange People. It's the same for husbands and wives. The one who isn't being pulled into the belief system, is left out and they are unable to see what the recruit sees. Their loved ones become more and more distant to them - as they change their attitudes and strong feelings from them to the religion. Actually over time, the recruit becomes very suspicious of their families, believing that their family is working with the Devil, and trying to stop the recruit from being with God.

Whatever the hell you think you can see in the Jehovah's Witness sect, they are just one of many groups that practise intellectual persuasion and mind control to make you think as they do. We know exactly what you think you can see - because we've all been there done that. (only most of us wasted a good deal more time on it than you will - hopefully)

All you have to do now is open your mind to other opinions and think very carefully. Actually when you get the hang of it, it's so bleedin' obvious that they are wrong, wrong, wrong - you will be embarrassed that you even considered it. We are all highly embarrassed by our gulibility and naivity.

    all the best

    Elizabeth:

Watch NBC's DATELINE Tue, May 28 - They are doing a special on the JW's. Check your newspaper for time and channel - basically it will be shown at 8pm EST, 7pm CST, and 10pm (or at the conclusion of the game) on the west coast.

    TO Farkel: Thanks!!

Solo, you might want to print this.

How are you. How long have you been married? Do you love your husband? Do you have a good marriage? Are you between 35 & 45 years of age? Have you been depressed lately or feeling unfulfilled? Have you been extra-emotional lately? Do you have any children? Do you work outside of the home?

The reason I ask all these questions, is that 9 times out of 10, the new indoctrinated one thinks they are getting something that will make all these problems go away.

I can speak to you from your husband's point of view. [even tho I'm not a husband] I have first hand experience. I have had to come to this board for counselling as professionals at $100.00 per hour have no clue what I'm going thru. I suppose at double the price I could find one that specializes in cult behavior but haven't found one yet. If I did tho, money would be no object. I have been dealing with this for over 4 years now and try as I might, I know things will never be the same, which back then had invisible problems, but we could've worked things out I'm sure. 20 years is quite an investment to let go lightly. We just keep getting further & further apart.

I am accused of working for Satan. Satan's little helpers have been putting me up to all kinds of things. Making me read all kinds of old watch tower literature. They hate that. One of the first things they will oh so subtly brand into the brain is how your family will try and stop you. This of course is because Satan doesn't want you to find out the truth. So any attempt to investigate will be met with again, oh so subtle distractions. You won't even realize it is happening. But mark my words, it will.

Please check out both sides. There is mega-info available here and on the sites at the bottom of the page, or just do a search. You'd be amazed.

Don't be satisfied with their smooooooth answers. They practice them over & over. Why do you think they have a different book to answer any and all objections? They have all these books & magazines because they are a printing company, and if you get baptized you will then become a publisher - their term.

They describe this publishing company as their legal representatives. This legal representative is the mediator between any Jehovah's Witness who is NOT of the annointed class. You cannot become one of the annointed because there are only 144,000 and that total was reached in 1935. True & most witnesses do not even know this. They think that like the bible says, their mediator is Jesus Christ, but it is not what they teach.

They deny everything critical and seem so sincere, that is because they are. They are in a place and they want you there too that is their goal. They practice theocratic war strategies (their name for lying). This doctrine enables them to lie if they have to, which includes remaining silent, to protect their society. This is in their own literature, not something an apostate has made up. Of course they would deny that they would ever tell a lie, its against their religion, but this is easy to test.

Gee, Outlaw said something earlier today, and I can't remember what it was, but it was good. The people here are fabulous, funny, caring, and some are very knowledgable, and know how to cut to the chase, some are even pretty crazy [the nice way and the not so nice way], but all have something in common.

Stick around and if I can be any help, ask me anything.

    Will (not my real name)

    solo,

Please read Galatians 1:6-10. These passages pretty much describe what the WTS and JWs are doing. Believe me, read these passages and you'll see that they are committing a big SIN.

Also, if they preach that God looks at people's heart, they are contradicting themselves when they say that God will kill anybody who is not a JW.
Also, "if God is light and in him there is no darkness", why will he kill people?
If "God is love", why will he kill people?
If "God is love and light", why fear him or live in fear?

Believe me JWs live a legalistic life full of fear.

    regards,

    AjaxMan

FEAR is imprisoning, but LOVE is liberating.
