At what point will there be more ex-JWs than active JWs?

Given the flow out of the organization and the inability to find new recruits, there should be a tipping point where the ex's out number the actives. Has there been any discussion related to this topic?

Because many within the organization are not true believers and are in various stages of exit this calculation is some what complicated. But I am sure there has been some discussion.

I would bet there is 2 or maybe even 3 times more X-JW's than JW's. If I thought about it hard enough, I could name way more that left the cult than probably still go.

Someone put up a stat that about 5 million have left since 1960. Factor in all the children that never got baptised your probably looking at about the same total out as the total still in. I think some of the changes are do to the fact that so many leave and in the coming years many older ones will be dying off. I see halls in the future with half as many attending as do now.

Even ten years ago, anecdotally there were far more people disfellowshipped or leaving per cong, than brought in.

The growth is almost totally reliant on JW children getting baptised, and statistically only half stay in.

Then we have all the older generation dying off.

I remember reading that the anglican church alone had over 70 million members. It puts into perspective all the constant door knocking, advertising and JW children baptisms, in 3 decades the JW's have only grown by a blip. I can think back 25 years and the same building, same hall size, same families were in the hall as are now.

Was there not a huge number of Bible Students compared to the Rutherford rebranded JWs back during the time he announced the rebranding and all those changes?

Made those still in as JW feel "special" and more cemented in thier goal of unquestioninly following "da man", Rutherford. They were "in" and exaulted themselves over the Bible Students did they not?

The difference today as compared to the Judge's day is the internet. Us stubborn apostates tend to be pretty active on the internet. Just look at apostate creative reaction to Caleb and the horrible introductory video to JW Broadcasting by Lett. This has to be a force that is keeping the real power or the organization up at night.

I`ve thought about that.....I`ve thought about that a lot..

My best guess is we out number them, possibly by 3-1..

    Thats a lot of people..

Most of them pissed off at what the WBT$ has done to their familys and their lives..

    .

Thats got to weigh on the WBT$..

Growth in Western countries has really slowed down in recent years, with a state of stagnation, if not decline in some. And people continue to leave in one form or another. The classic fade seems to be the departure of choice for those whose family and/or business contacts are embedded in the organization. For many who still attend (occasional) meetings, their days of door-knocking are effectively over. If you include these ones, even though their number is not known, you'd be safe to conclude ex-Witnesses have long outnumbered current witnesses. Keep in mind too that nigh on 40 years ago there was a massive hemorrhage of active publishers - in the wake of the 1975 fiasco - sure it picked up throughout the 80s and 90s, but the exodus by other means continued.

There's a tonne of phoneys and double-lifer's in the organisation and they're increasing. The disfellowshipping doctrine is the only thing keeping huge numbers of them in. Take that away and the org would rapidly deflate like a farting balloon.

I don't personally know A Morris III but he comes over as a very hateful man. I hope the apparent hatred from above will be seen by the R&F and they will have no option but to leave the corrupt and decaying stench of the WBT$.
