Convention first aid staff is not equipped to handle complex issues. I wouldn't trust my child to them or expect them to treat her. I might trust them to apply a bandaid.

This is a non-issue for me. The Watchtower truthfully said they weren't capable. What makes us think they should be? or would be? The WT is a religious institution, not a health-care facility. IF we want to find issues to address, let's look for real issues. This is no more than a temper tantrum and a misdirected one at that.

The WTS may say there are not capable but do they allow jws to call 911 (or equivalent) when a family member is having severe medical problems (or for an unknown person who drops on the floor and starts shaking?)

Accidents and Emergencies: If a medical emergency arises at the convention site, please contact a nearby attendant, who will immediately notify First Aid so that our qualified first-aid personnel can assess the seriousness of the situation and render assistance. If it is necessary, our first-aid personnel will call 911. This will prevent emergency-response services from receiving many cell-phone calls.

The up coming Intl convention  to be held on the island of Malta has similar requirements re physical impairments.

There was a Kingdom Ministry article some years ago that essentially advised those with chronic issues to stay home from conventions, as there is no one to care for them at these gatherings.

I can't locate the article as it is not on WT Library. Maybe someone recalls the wording.

How ironic.  The first to not offer help but they sure have no problem telling you to go to the government agencies that do.

    From Blondie:

    " *** km 4/12 p. 4 Our District Conventions—Powerful Testimony to the Truth ***

I am just dumbfounded at this; the WT doesn't want people calling 911 when they see someone on the ground having a heart attack? They should wait for the attendant?

    Well, f**k that.

"Prevent emergency-response services from receiving many cell phone calls"?

I think they probably are used to being flooded by calls during an event.

Is there NO part of life they won't stick their noses into?
