Until the SCIENTIFIC METHOD came along, your guess was as good as mine about what was true about the heavens and the earth.

For over a millennium, Aristotle was considered the wisest of all the ancient sages. He was a Greek philosopher.

If he said it--well, it must be true.

But, Greek philosophy had one rule: NEVER TEST your hypothesis---no, REASON your way to the "proof."

    Fast forward through time . . . .

Science differed from opinion by qualifying hypothesis with TESTING and something called FALSIFIABILITY.

    What was it?

You have to find a way to state a scientific theory by making it DISPROVABLE!

If you have the theory "All swans are white" it is testable and disprovable how?

By finding a non-white swan. End of theory.

    _______________

When it comes to religious doctrine you don't find much testing going on, do you?

In religious denominations of Christianity, there is little requiring testing.

But, when it comes to JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES . . . that is NOT the case!

    How so?

JW's have been silly enough and confident enough and grandiose enough to SET EXACT DATES for Armageddon.

    Folks, THAT is testable.

History has FALSIFIED the Jehovah's Witness denomination time and again.

    ________________

So, why does it still exist?

Well, there is still a Flat-Earth Society, isn't there?

There are folks who deny the holocaust, arent there?

Sure, but the mindset of these folks is neurotic and extreme.

Persons who teach extreme and anomalous views are considered backward and dangerous.

    _____________-

What is the consistent through-line which gives continuity to Jehovah's Witness doctrine?

What is the one thing which runs from the time of C.T. Russell, through Judge Rutherford, through Nathan Knorr and Fred Franz, etc. ; all the way up to today?

I'll give you a moment to reflect.

Here is my answer. Feel free to disagree.

    1. This denomination has ALWAYS been willing to offer wacky ideas while asserting it all comes directly from GOD.

    2. This denomination has ALWAYS avoided admitting they have done anything wrong by fobbing mis-steps off as "only human."

So, where can we draw the line?

WHERE DOES JEHOVAH'S information (given directly to the GB) leave off SO THAT the "only human" mistakes are taught instead?

    ________________-

By what process does "STRAIGHT FROM JEHOVAH'S LIPS" become the necessary "adjustments"?

    _________________

The GB have told us they have been over eager for the fulfillment of glorious promises. Is that an acceptable excuse for passing off

bad dates as though Jehovah were authorizing them?

The GB have never 'walked us through' the process of receiving the "correct understanding" of the Bible to the point of suddenly

becoming aware they laid an egg.

    QUESTIONS:

    Are you deaf?

    Does Jehovah stutter?

    Are there hallucinations?

Do you just go ahead and publish whatever comes into your head and CLAIM it came from Jehovah?

How do you TEST before publishing-----or, DO YOU?

    ______________

There is a through-line to Jehovah's Witness doctrine.

Their teachings are always called TRUTH even when they have to change, adjust, reverse or discontinue the same information.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT from an OPINION?

    Well, it isn't. Is it?

When YOU have an opinion you don't say: JEHOVAH HAS GIVEN THIS TO ME ALONE.

that sounds exactly like our present administration, they never admit to making a mistake, and if something goes wrong it is always some one else's fault.

    Hi,

One consistent fact is that the society will consistently change the facts/doctrines/minds. This we can count on.

ONE consistent fact we can state about Jehovah's Witness teaching and Doctrine is:

Doctrinal changes are caused by the calendar and the checkbook.

The WTS. Corporation has strategically formed a businesses structure by using religious theology postured from its own publishing house.

The people running it knew and realized that they could frame a business from the doctrines they created themselves

and proliferated toward the public. The JWS teachings have one consistent fact inherently held to them, they have alluring commercial appeal.

Creating imaginative illusions of a Paradise of living forever or not even dieing come judgment day , for example.

All of these things have alluring appeal to sensitive human emotions.

In spite they may not have much backing from a factual standpoint from where they were derived.
