How can you quantify who a JW is??? The cult is a joke. They turn in time, but do they believe it all?? REALLY??? There could be only 50 JWs.

I'm wiling to guess that the number of actual adult publishers to do any significant preaching work to be around 3 million, maybe even less. Everybody else are just a bunch odd ball reports, 15 minutes, kids who go with the parents, elderly who write a few letters, people who lie, etc etc.

I remember that before i left completely, the eldub who led my study group, called me at the end of each month asking for a report, and even though I told him i didn't go out preaching, he used to ask me " Well i'm sure you had a few 10 min conversations with some people during the month about spiritual things, right?"... I usually just answered "Yeah, i guess", and he offered to make a report of 1 hour for me.

I wonder of many reports like those are submitted.

As Londo states, the only number that matters is baptized each year. Well, the partakers number is there for the amusement of the apostate community.

All the rest can be manipulated to the orgs benefit one way or another.

After all, it is a pyramide scheme (both mentally and economically), so they must at least show growth. Faced with that ultimatum, one thing for sure - if there's a standoff or slight decline, they will do everything to hide it.

They announced at this years annual meeting that they could now officially report that the number of JWs was now over the 8 million mark. The GB member couldn't contain himself when he was talking about the field service figures from August but the actual figures would take a little longer to calculate.

8 million JW's ...not much considering they have been around for 140 years and knocking on doors and preaching that long.

Hardly any witnesses in China, Russia,India, Middle East.

So really they they have not much to brag about and it will get worse as old timers will start dyin off at greater numbers.

When I heard about the rearrangement of Circuit Assemblies, one day eacy?, and the "International" Convention, I thought, "Hey, this is all to condense everyone so that they can't tell the numbers are dwindling"

I also was thinking about how many adult publishers are there? I'd guess a lot of pubs are children who are forced out into fs with their parents.

I remember years ago they stated all baptized publishers are ministers. Does this include the 6 year who got baptized this summer?
