Thanks Juan. Very interesting indeed! I am not surprised about the surfing on this site. Two Bethel Para-legals told me the same thing.

If you check the membership of JWN you will find a very high percentage of Ex-Bethelites. Bethel is a great awakening for many honest hearted JWs.

The WT lost at the trial level. There is an appellate process. Facts will likely not be revisited. The highest court in Ca has not heard the Conti case. The Wt has not lost - not all. Not yet.

Let's all hope that the cases currently being brought against the wts effect a huge change in public perception and ultimately judicial decisions about the jdub so-called "religion".

By their outright refusal to protect the helpless victims, the wts also abuses them and causes lifelong harm. Being sexually abused is horribly traumatic, but being sexually abused by someone you've been taught is "Appointed by God's Holy Spirit" is soul-killing.

In several of the recently-publicized cases, the molestations and rapes of innocent children were not secretive acts but were known by multiple elders and even circuit overseers.

This cult truly destroys lives and families and the world needs to be aware that this is a worldwide pedophiliac-supporting organization that deserves to be brought down. No longer shall they be known as the weird yet harmless door-knockers. Now they shall be known as active pedophile protectors and true child abusers themselves.

Thanks for this thread and thanks esp. to Juan Viejo2 for the info. One cannot help but wonder if any, and if so, how many, WT lawyer insiders have their doubts. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out.

A year or two ago, I might have taken JuanViejo2's post with a considerable grain of salt.

Today, I find it far more plausible than I would have then, particularly the suggestion that Losch and/or the GB may be acting against the Legal Dept.'s advice.

It's definately the kind of behavior full-on True Believers would display.

As for Bethelites secretly surfing JWN, JWSurvey, etc....

    ...Hi, guys! You're always welcome.

An overworked lawyer? Find a lawyer who hates money then you've found an overworked lawyer.

I have known a few JWs who had expensive "Skills" that were invited to Bethel. Lots of times it is the WIFE who HAS to go to work everyday and gets the lowly "sister" treatment who pressures hubby to leave. Can you imagine some JW Attorneys wife having a snotty nosed Bethel boy overseer telling her HOW to use that vacumm cleaner "Just so" ?
