Hello Moody Blue,
I think (knowing all the updated procedures), that if you
wish, you could try to send a letter to the b.o.e. and the
local branch, clearly stating that at the moment you do not
wish to be disturbed, nor you desire any call at your house
nor you feel in the " right frame " to speak . In the
event that you should receive an "invitation " to the local
k.h., you can ask to specify clearly -in writing -the date,
who will be present, what will be the subject and if you can
take along a witness, then ...wait for a written answer.
Do above all pray to our Creator Jehovah for help and confort,
and try you best to imitate the attitude of the Christ and
if you can confide openly with a close "friend"...it helps.

i had such a similar situation. i never met with the elders, just told them i didn't want to be bothered at my door. they still disfellowshipped me w/out notification because when they asked me if my, then girlfiend, now wife, was living with me, i said yes. i, like others, think they could easily DF you. i hope they don't and i understand not wanting to DA because of family. that's why i still hadn't sent a letter when they first contacted me. i hope things work out as well as they can for you.

Hi all,
I agree with Wendy's approach.
When I left, I made an emotional decision to just let them disfellowship me. In fact, I even lied and told them I had committed homosexuality when I had not just to get the DFing over with.
I paid dearly for this mistake. I wish now that I had told them whatever it took to not have them DF me. That emotional decision has cost me a lot in the last 12 years.
I say play the stupid game. Its all semantics anyway. I am the same person no matter what three man in a Kingdom Hall library say. So I vote for making your life easy in the long run which is having no ridiculous classification attached to you.
