    DOC: "They are already dead!"

Yes, you and I know that. But Watchtower is still trying to justify that preposterous statement and somehow spin it for listeners today. Check out this recent quote from 2010:

*** Watchtower 2010, 2/15 pp. 15-17 pars. 8-10 “The Spirit and the Bride Keep On Saying: ‘Come!’” ***
The anointed followers of Christ have been extending the invitation since as far back as 1918. In that year, the public talk entitled “Millions Now Living May Never Die” offered hope that many will gain life in a paradise earth after the battle of Armageddon. A talk given at the convention of Bible Students at Cedar Point, Ohio, U.S.A., in 1922 urged listeners to ‘advertise the King and his kingdom.’ This appeal helped the remnant of the bride class to reach more people with the invitation. In 1929, the March 15 issue of The Watchtower contained an article entitled “Gracious Invitation,” with Revelation 22:17 as its theme text. In part, the article stated: “The faithful remnant class join [the Most High] in the gracious invitation and say, ‘Come.’ This message is to be proclaimed to those who have a desire for righteousness and truth. It must be done now.” To this day, the bride class continues to extend that invitation.
    “Let Anyone Hearing Say: ‘Come!’”
9 What about those who hear the invitation to “come”? They are invited to say, “Come!” in response. For example, the August 1, 1932, issue of The Watchtower stated on page 232: “Let the anointed encourage all who will to take part in telling the good news of the kingdom. They do not have to be anointed of the Lord in order to declare the Lord’s message. It is a great comfort to Jehovah’s witnesses to now know that they are permitted to carry the waters of life to a class of people that may be taken through Armageddon and given everlasting life on the earth.”
10 Pointing to the hearer’s responsibility to say, “Come!” The Watchtower of August 15, 1934, page 249, stated: “Those of the Jonadab class must go along with those who are of the antitypical Jehu company, that is, the anointed, and announce the message of the kingdom, even though they are not the anointed witnesses of Jehovah.” In 1935, the identity of the “great crowd” mentioned at Revelation 7:9-17 was made clear. That gave tremendous impetus to the work of extending God’s invitation. Since then, a growing number of the great crowd of true worshippers—over seven million now—have responded to that invitation.

FatFreek 2005, that is so deceptive and underhanded of them to refer to the public talk titled “Millions Now Living May Never Die”. Why don't they also refer to the fact that the title of the talk was changed to “Millions Now Living Will Never Die” and that there was a booklet printed with that same title? They are always being sneaky and trying to make their bad history disappear and make themselves look better than they are/were.

The WTS. always pontificated that mankind should announce Jesus's kingdom and what was to happen to mankind because of that.

Great marketing scheme for a religious publishing house to venture into in spite of making a date like 1914 is in direct opposition

from Jesus's own direction and counsel concerning his followers making up dates and times on God's own sacred time.

Oh well who really reads the bible carefully anyways.

You've attracted people minds and emotions and thats what counts isn't ? $$$

Translation = Jesus took his position on his heavenly throne in 1914 and the following (this Generation) because the Watchtower Publishing house was started.

1914 never had any scriptural support, in fact any man or men making up a date(year) is very unscriptural.

    .

Just good old fashion bullshit supported by ignorant bible believers and deceitful corrupt men.

“Millions Now Living May Never Die” offered hope that many will gain life in a paradise earth after the battle of Armageddon. A talk given at the convention of Bible Students at Cedar Point, Ohio, U.S.A., in 1922 urged listeners to ‘advertise the King and his kingdom.’ This appeal helped the remnant of the bride class to reach more people with the invitation. In 1929...

Note in the 2010 WT that FatFreek quoted, no mention is made about 1925...the year Armageddon was supposed to arrive. It conveniently skips from 1922 to 1929.

Also no mention that WT predicted for nearly 40 years prior to 1914 that 1914 was the year Armageddon would arrive.

And, as correctly pointed out, the original title of the campaign was changed from "may" to the more definite "will".

    ---

'No doubt Satan believed the Millennial Kingdom was due to be set-up in 1915...Be that as it may, there is evidence that the establishment of the Kingdom in Palestine will probably be in 1925, ten years later than we once calculated.' (Studies In The Scriptures, Vol 7, The Finished Mystery, p. 128)

"Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection." (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, p. 89)

There can be no more question about 1925 than there was about 1914." (Watchtower, p. 150, May 15, 1922)

"This chronology is not of man but of God . . . of divine origin . . . absolutely and unqualifiedly correct." --Watchtower 7/15/1922, p.217

    .

And, after the inevitable failure came, here's how WT describes it now:

"They also thought that perhaps — just perhaps — the "ancient worthies" who would serve as princes on the earth during the millennial era would, at the end of that time, somehow be granted heavenly life" (Proclaimers, ch. 12, p. 161)

    .

This quote is completely dishonest. It makes it appear that this teaching was mere speculation with no definiteness to it.
