Is is not true that just like SS troops guarding and operating in a concentration camp JW's would just do whatever they are told? SS troops were told to kill Jews and most just went along with it without question. It scares me to think that most JW's would go along with whatever they're told by their leaders without question..This is one of the reasons why I come here almost every day to see and read posts about whats going on in the religion, so I can be prepared to go save my family from this Cult if I need to..

The vast majority of all sodiers do. much of the time. Disobeying orders can end you up against the wall, facing a firing scuad. but
when the US army discovered that many soldiers did not shoot to kill (like ringing the doorpost rather than the button in the h2h), the army commisioned Holywood to make traing movies showing the Germans, beyonetting babies.
some jws can be cliquish, shunning with a vengeance. given the tools---

Experiments showed that even housewives in the US would apply what they believed were lethal levels of electric shock to people they could hear screaming as long as someone in authority told them to.
The masses are unthinking idiots. Few people will ever stand up in a group and say "no" whatever the personal cost.

I am not sure about SS comparision. JW believes that the their G-d and his angels will do the mass killing and batches like in Babi Yar, and they will just idle by signing hoshana. In my hometown during WWII, Germans were killing Jews and partisans on the outskirt of the city where they had orchestra playing music, while the slaugher went on. JWs would be these musicians.
However, if the cult leader told them to kill themselves, they would. They would follow their leader. They want to suffer martyrdom in the name of the WT and many will not hesitate to kill themselves for the truth. They wasted their life for WT, they would end their life for lie of WT.

It helps to get the context that it was long before Hitler and the Nazis that the Jews were hated and accused of sacrificing the children of the Gentiles and drinking their blood and restricted to living in ghettos, blamed for disasters in their countries, etc.
Not just the SS but many Germans and Europeans (and other countries) did not view the jews as having the rights to life. They had already gbeen "brainwashed." In my experience, the hatred for the jews was greater than for the bible students. My family are Germans, that grew up in that era, I was born 7 years after 1945. So it was history to me but near history, I "interviewed" many family friends, neighbors, jews and other pacifistic groups. and, yes Nazi SS troops, my great uncle.
Many Germans went along with it for many different reasons. It's worth a reading of that time.
Based on 60 years around jws, few would shoot another jw....only if a gun was at their own head or their child's.

For those that aren't familiar with what Simon mentioned, watch this video. Prepared to be disturbed by what this says about human nature:

There is some opinion that the conclusions from the experiments was flawed.
This is quite compelling:
