Governing Body, Faithful Slave disconnect.

Wt doctrine now says that there was no Faithful Feeding Slave at Pentecost, in apostolic times, ---but there is now, since 1919. Previously they taught there was always a slave feeding -sometimes unknown , but an unbroken, if sporadic lineage.

While the early, and later Christians (in this doctrine) had no discreet Slave, they had a Governing Body. Accordingly

the tradition of a (WT) Governing Body is older then the idea of "feeding my sheep".

    Governance over Care.

Are they working on an unbroken if sporadic Governance of the Congregation too? after all,

we still feel the reverberations, consequences of the talking snake too.

Could the 7 member GB possibly be the 7 headed beast of Revelation chaps 12 and 17? If you add up all those rings and 'pinky' rings that they wear, it could add up to the symbolic '10 horns'!

    just kiddin'

eyeuse2badub of course, the whole thing , when you think about, it is a practical joke, pulled on all believers. I just tried to show the irony that

WT has a non-biblical 'Governing Body' since ~ 33 CE, but no Faithful Slave, then,

during all these centuries no legitimate GB ---( although all that bible discussion, producing) , that was formerly their thin line of the F&DS.

It's a parody of a joke of a conundrum no matter how look at it.

Allegedly Jesus comes in the first century to establish truth and restore pure worship...then he dies and leaves his followers with nothing (no FDS) for the next 2,000 years. Epic fail.

Russell allegedly picks up the torch given him by Jehovahâ„¢ in 1876 as the modern FDS. WT recently pulled his FDS ranking and asked for their decoder ring back (post-mortem, of course. It's easier to bully a corpse).

According to WT, all anointed were the FDS. As of 2013, only the GB is the FDS. This is interesting because their has not always been a GB. Russell was an autocracy; Rutherfraud was a dictatorship. The GB didn't exist until late in WT history, and until recently, they had no clue they were the FDS. Hell, until the later 1970's the GB was simply window dressing for WT, as the Prez had all the power.

    Ah, the world of WT....

ADCMC, thank you for filling in the details.

GB in the first century, but then a hiatus until the 1970 , then merged with the F&DS in 2013.

A 1st century GB is a WT myth. But, if there was one it opens up a whole can of worms for WT. Where'd it go for 2,000 years if it's so critical to god's plan???

And why was there no GB even in WT's structure for most of its existence if a GB is critical to god's plan??

may be the College of Cardinal qualifies, after all, they celebrate Christmas too, use the Cross, just like WT did until the 1930ies.

for the now defunct WT Faithful & Discreet Slave CLASS,during the centuries, -- wt could at least surmise some bible students apart from the establishment.

maybe they will start counting the generation from the time they discovered that it was the GB that is the FDS and not the 144K. Could buy them some tme.

ADCMS is totally correct...again. Great points, thanks for giving all of us some ammunition.

wt writers should fly trial balloons here on this site, to see where their desperate "Tacking" (thanks Karl Klein) will lead them.

No more "We love this idea" from David, if they only knew what is good for their reputation.
