Someone was asking for a copy of a Watchtower from January 1, 1989.
So I went looking in a suitcase full of thes magazines. I have one from 1989, but it is October. Most of the mags I have are 1998, 1999 and 2000.
Anyway, as I was going through the stuff in that suitcase, I found a copy of an article I printed from the Net, when I was writing a paper for a class in College...
It's called, The Truth as I see it, or "The Truth simplified" by Gary Busselman. Have you ever read it, it is hilarious :

I get confused just thinking about it.
I have appreciated your posts. Thanks for being here.
Yes Jim, I remember when you first started posting and I remember your brother too. Hope he is well. Much has changed since the early 90's. I almost can't believe the mess the Society has itself in now. Way worse than I ever feared. I pity my poor relatives who have to try to make a serious stand for the corporation in this situation.
Farkel, you have been my icon for years. You keep me laughing. Thanks!

Gary!!
Long time, no see. Do you still spend a lot of time on the bike? Did you know Doc Bob is a biker now, too?
I think I told you this once before, but if you come through Colorado on one of your ramblings, please stop to see us.
Jim, I don't think I've ever met you, but I think you've known Alan for a long time. I've certainly heard your name for many years. Yes, I was there back in the early 90s, too, in the days of trm. Ah, the good old days.
Nice to see both of you.

Hi Julie,
Sold the last bike 2 years ago. The car feels better now
Bob is younger than me. The world is younger than me. He can stand the cold and the rain and the wind.
I did see most of the country on 2 wheels. Rode the west coast when I was 50. I am so glad I did that. I never would have done that if I had stayed a Witness. I would have deferred playing like that till the *new world* and worked and died and missed my own life waiting for a mirage.
We have known so many Witnesses who refused an education or skipped that one big opportunity that would have allowed them and their families to have some comfort and security and a better life. I was almost one of them.
I was a Witness in 1963 when I bought that first Harley, a red 1948 panhead hardtail 74. I had a good time with that bike but there was a sort of a feeling that I was stealing from someone every time I went for a day's ride. Every time I had some fun I had guilt too. Like there was something wrong with it. There were those who did in fact think I was sinning by taking some time to enjoy myself and I did let them influence me to a degree.
Now the guilt is gone and most all of life is enjoyable.
I was in Denver last June. Didn't know you guys were in Colorado.
Peace,
gb
