Hi Englishman,
On your behalf I watched the game, tuned it in by accident, and I don't want to hurt your feelings, but man the NBA basketball game later was so much more exciting. I know some of it has to do with knowing what is going on, (the little yellow tickets and the ref going over and just fussing at them as a penalty it seemed) but basketball has it going and coming. Have you watched any of the NBA finals? The game between the Lakers and the Kings went into overtime, pretty good stuff. The Kings did about what England seemed to do, just couldn't put the ball in. Sorry, I did root for England and I enjoyed the British singing God Save the Queen and all. At least now I can say I have watched a game.

Sweden were lucky not to be out of it at half time but in the end England were lucky to get a draw.

Happy, we were just toying with you guys, showing you who invented the game. DOn't forget Sweeden have NEVER won the world cup where as England has. I though those Sweedish boys were going to start snogging when they scored that goal.

Greece didn't get through the earlier qualifying rounds, so they're not amongst the 32 finalist teams that travelled to Japan / Korea.

Just so you non-soccer familiar people know what's happening at present:

The 32 National teams have been split up into 8 groups of 4 teams. Each team will play the other 3 teams in their group. Every time a team wins a match, they are awarded 3 points. A draw gives each team 1 point. At the end of that round of matches, the 2 teams in each group with the most points go on to the next round. The 2 losing teams in each group go home.
