Anyone seen this? I saw an advert for a programme about them a few nights ago but don't know when it's on (or if it's been on).

Genuine UFO's: They fly and no one knows what the hell they are!

    Check out the videos!

    What are Rods?
Rods are cylindrical or cigar shaped objects that are not like the typical "cigar" shaped UFOS that have been reported throughout history.

They are from four inches to a hundred,(or more), feet in length.
    Some are thin like spears.
Some Rods have what appear to be "appendages" along their torsos resembling Centipedes.
They travel at extremely high velocities barely visible with the naked eye.
They do exhibit some form of intelligence.
    They are appearing everywhere.
They don't appear to be mechanical or made of metal.
    They appear to be alive!

    Simon,

I saw a show on "rods" a few years ago. It was hard to tell whether they were infractions in the camera lens during taping or some other phenomena, or somebody simply firing a projectile. It was interesting, though.

(Waiting for somebody to make the obligatory "rods" joke. )

One of the clips shown on the trailer was pretty impressive - it showed one flying into and out of a cave. It could be a hoax but it is impressive!

I've seen a couple of TV presentations on this. What bothers me is that no one directly sees these "rods" -- they're only caught on camera, so far as I know. The lack of physical evidence is also telling. Anything that travels at the velocity attributed to these "rods" would make a good deal of noise, especially if there are flapping "wings" as I've seen in some video shots. Yet no one hears anything. Whatever is going on, I don't believe it's real.

Damn it! Does this mean that Flying Saucers are out of vogue now??? I'm going to have to completely retool my "Real UFO Photos" lab.

They kinda remind me of Pink Floy'd ablum covers.
looks like someone put a cork in an avacado then applied background.

The other one is defenately a cigar holder on a flying carpet.

It's interesting how these things appeared along with the pregress of graphics.

One debunking I saw about a year ago explained that these "rods" are an artifact of the video cameras that record them. No rods, the debunker claimed, had been filmed "the old fashioned way" with photographic movie film. If this is true, then I would guess that any high-speed photography or videography would not be susceptable to the artifact.
