Watchtower keeps hoping that NOBODY will remember that Jesus ordered his disciples to carry swords and that Peter had a sword ON HIM the night of Jesus' death.

Small minds make great fish food.

    EXCELLENT OBSERVATIONS, somebody.

They kiss the Government's ass, they kiss each other's ass, they expect their members to kiss THEIR asses, while they continue to spout mindless drivel and call it Inspiration from Jehovah's Spirit. "To think that people actually respond to this crap as if it's spiritual food from God," and they always have it ass backwards too.

In point #11, it's apparent that those who are NOT prepared for violence (World Trade Center, etc) INVITE violence from those who experience great glee at harming defenseless ones. Being prepared can and should be a deterrent to those who would attack those otherwise unprepared and defenseless.

The Watchtower and its adherents do not live in the real world but in some kind of Dick-and-Jane fantasyland.

And when they say, "In many countries it is illegal even to possess firearms for self-defense", it's their whining way of trying to snowjob people into feeling that somehow this is how it should be, and not how this simply shows that a basic freedom has been LOST in those countries. What evil idiots!

Anyone remember the incredibly 'dumb' article where they criticised some firemen for being 'stupid' by trying to rescue people and dying in the attempt (I think it was to do with an earthquake or volcano).

I notice they don't put that on their website after Sep 11.

In fact, things like that are the reason that they don't make their literature archive available on the web for all to see. Only faithful (brainwashed?) dubs are allowed to read things like that while the rest of the world gets a carefully selected PR copy.

On page 8 there's a section entitled "Aren't British Bobbies Wonderful” It has a picture there of a guy who looks like Dixon of Dock Green - talk about cheesy. I have never heard of them being called Bobbies by anyone other than tourists. I am more accustomed to hearing them referred to as pigs, or filth! I guess it is kinda quaint that people outside Britain have a rose-coloured view of our police force!

    Somebody:

Insightful post. I never thought about how JW's receiving blood-fraction transfusions were relying entirely on blood (which was stored on a shelf, not "poured out") donated by wicked wordlies who are in line for destruction at the big A

I haven't seen the 7/8 Awake, but it sounds like the typical cheese whiz the org is putting out lately. It is especially puzzling that this would be a topic of a WT publication, when you consider that it would be impossible for a policeman to be a JW. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

I just had to laugh out loud (El Oh El, as Cygnus likes to say) when I received my latest Asleep! magazine in the mail and saw the cover article. I mean, who is the target audience here? Kindergarteners? And they think you can get the equivalent of a college edumication by reading the quality society periodicals? Hilarious.

I'm just glad I don't have to peddle these intellectually insulting magazines door to door. I'm sure there are some other really dumb articles that we can dredge up. I would be so embarrassed to have to present this magazine. Were there others that anyone can remember that were just too stupid to offer (even for a brain-dead dub)?

One who prepares for violence invites violence

Really? Gee, that could be applied to so many horrible things it's almost unspeakable to think about.

What kind of idiot believes that? Does 'violence' somehow feel pity for the unprepared and leave them alone?
