Hello Deacon,
Now on a side note. I have no idea as to the reasoning behind your post above, the denigration of professional status for named members etc...- Deacon
I may be wrong on the degrees and professional credits - but I'm close. More professed professionals than rape/incest survivors.I am not discrediting any of these individuals - only marveling at all of them on one forum at the same time. - waiting
Please point out how the above quote denigrates any person other than myself for not remembering exactly the various degrees and professional credits of persons who have freely given out their own credentials?
I have no understanding of why you posted that except... - Deacon
Excuse me - does isp's beginning post, Focus's posts in return, and mine about people using multiple names and personality styles here, on H20, and Witnet ring a bell to you? Obviously, isp has opened the discussion with accusations about a host of posters, yourself included. If he didn't wish persons to respond - he shouldn't have posted.
dang it... - Deacon
Darned right, dang it!
Are you even suggesting that we, in light of this week's postings, take everyone and everything everyone says as the total honest-to-God Total Truth? Do you tell your patients that, Doc Deacon?
This is a discussion board..people discuss things and we have NO control over it..Simon does and he chooses to let it continue as is. End of story. - Deacon
We absolutely do have control - over our own postings and what we post to other persons. You also contradict Lisa when she said that a person can come into the chatroom and change the subject. That was one of her objections to me - I didn't try to change the subject.
If you hang around long enough, you'll see threads take on many different subjects within the same thread. Sometimes the original thread discussion is changed completely. That is called control because it wouldn't have changed unless someone posted words which takes control.
should you choose to see this as an attack on you personally..then you would be very wrong.... -Deacon
Gee thanks, Doc Deacon, for not charging me your usual $180.00 for 55 minutes. And thanks for telling me what I should think. How very doctorly and manly. Now I know why I never could go to a man therapist.
One doctor asked me why I didn't want to continue see him as my therapist. Trying to be polite and not just blurt out "I don't like you, you shake hands like a cold wet fish, and you have no sense of humor or warmth" - I told him I wasn't comfortable with a man therapist. Condenscendingly, he knowingly nodded, "Thank you for being open with your problem."
So much for being polite.
Catch ya later, Doc.

PS - my computer wouldn't work right this afternoon. I did want to clarify that I am *generally speaking* of men, only Deacon in particular. There are some fine men posters here.
