I was going to follow with the 'helmet of salvation' but you really don't want to see it!

I had a circuit overseer who loved to say that God didn't like football (American, that is, not Soccer), and admonished the brothers and sisters not to watch it. I wonder how long a circuit overseer like that would survive in an english congregation telling the Brothers and Sisters not to watch Football (British, that is). For my money, he would be apprehended and thrown out into the street...Good....(Insert devilish grin for I forgot how to add the emotion).

    A view from downunder:

What of the match itself? It looked as though the Argies were playing VERY rough throughout, going for the man and not the ball. On this basis, they deserved to be eliminated.

But what a paradox! The team that I saw as being likely World Cup winners, playing the best(?)soccer, have to resort to such tactics. But then, it's proving to be a very strange competitition this time.

I found a better pic of the Argentinians. The pic is real, only the handbags were added.
