G'day Beck and all,
When I first saw the title, I was a little concerned that this may be a little derogatory towards people of faith, but on reading the posts, I see that this is a serious topic. So.....
I'm with Mulan on this. Even as earnest dubs, I didn't want my family to draw attention to itself as being sanctimonious. However when it was possible to be discreet, we did pray in restaurants (briefly) with our children. Since becoming persons enjoying freedom, we've come to understand that a believer is ALWAYS in communion with his Father and so, it's not necessary to make a show of prayer, even though we may be prayerful. Our relationship is with the Father, and so we don't have to make a show, or keep "a form of godly devotion" as the Scripture says. I'm reminded of the Pharisees who made a show of their acts of godly devotion, even "washing up to the elbows". This is not the way for Christians.
Cheers,
Ozzie
