stuckinarut2: Another boring music video at the end. One part shows a young person with a skeptical look on his face while his teacher teaches evolution.
There's also a new video on tv.jw.org that is about whether the Bible is true or not.
One hilarious assertion: "The bible is accurate where it comments on PROVED science." Inferring that where it's not accurate, that science isn't proven, or something. Ugh
Is the Bible scientifically correct in Gen. 1: 16 ? "And God proceeded to make the two great luminaries ,the greater luminary for dominating the day and the lesser luminary for dominating the night , and also the stars"
O.K. I concede the greater luminary the Sun appears to rise every day ,
However the lesser luminary the Moon does not appear every night , in fact it often appears in the day time somewhere in the earth making it impossible to be seen on the other side of the world during the night .
smiddy.
I would never assert the Bible to be scientifically correct. However, I would have no difficulty asserting the Bible to be biblically correct the same way I would assert the Governing Body is governingly bodily correct.
Self-referential endorsement succeeds where every other endorsement has the audacity to award low or no marks.
ANOTHER music video??
Oh man......
The moon a luminary? A true luminary emits its own light. And, what happens when you get a total lunar eclipse? Yes, the moon still appears lit--with light refracted by our atmosphere. When it's a total solar eclipse, no part of the moon will appear lit.
For the night? During a waxing moon, it will rise during the day. Moonrise will be later and later as it approaches full moon, and there will be times when the moon is visible during the afternoon. Later at night, such as after midnight, the moon will set and no longer be visible. Moonset happens later as the moon approaches full.
During a waning moon, the opposite happens. The moon will not be visible when the sun sets, and gradually this happens longer and longer. Plenty of times I have seen the moon low in the eastern sky at 11 PM. Eventually, it will be early morning before you will see the moon rise. Now, you can see the moon during the morning.
If joke-hova really did create the moon for night, it would always be strong every night (assuming, that is, the clouds are not in the way). You would see the moon rise as the sun sets, and the moon would set as the sun is rising. This happens only when it's a full moon. (And not a lunar eclipse--then, it dims drastically.) Anyone ever see the moon do this through the whole month?
No wonder these religions want people to have IQs around 70 and to dog science.
The song at the end is called "I want to give you my all" and centres around a number of youths turning away from secular things such as education and sports in order to go preaching or to the meetings.
It ends by showing all three youngsters being baptised to the lyric "I want to give you my all" being sung four times.
Seriously splash????
The manipulation is no longer subtle hey?
