    Met,

Please, please, send what you expressed above TO THE NEWSPAPERS AND T.V. MEDIA.

I intend to send your post (only) to the news sources I have been sending items to for nearly 18 mo. now; with your permission, of course.

May I? Or will you do it yourself?

You always hit The Nail firmly on it's Head Met...shout it out to ALL THE NATIONS! Why not?

    Sincerely, sKally

hi,....... jehovahs witnesses reading this thread!

john 6:56 says;...... he that feeds on my flesh and "drinks my blood" remains in union with me......

in using -- "drinks my blood"-- in his illustration....(something horrible to self-righteous pharisees).. ...was jesus reminding them that the whole blood issue is "symbolic".......and always has been?

should you be sacrificing the lives of little girls, like the animals on the alter?

Per topic: I was wondering also. Maybe the religious defense is a worthwhile protection with lawsuits in the U.S.? (I don't know how this would involve the Canadian case other than publicity)

Yesterday, I read at the Council for Secular Humanism's website, dangerous reading section, "Letting Children Die For The Faith" by Rita Swan. Parental crimes against children are not prosecuted as readily if the abuse is because of religious beliefs. The article sites recent child welfare laws that have religious exemptions, in some states, with shocking results and that small Christian Scientist groups have clout, too.

Slowly backing out of the blood issue while using the religious defense sounds like a plan.

Hey metatron, your missing the whole point! WBTS isn`t about people it`s about CA$H .They need more money.Articles about DEAD DUBS ,sell a lot more magazines to live dubs.Bump a few dubs off, profits go up.If this girl dies WBTS will advertise the hell out of it.Example:her face on the cover of the Awake because she gave up her life for her religion. The live Dubs will eat this up like candy, the magazines will go like hot cakes, and WBTS will make lots of $$$$$$!!! This is a dam good business move,if your really unbelievably EVIL ...OUTLAW

As Lee suggested, I believe the culmination of events leads to the fact that we are in the midst of a backing away from the policy, hoping that the rank and file do not notice.

If you notice in the Jenson correspondence he quoted from the United in Worship book p.149, "So there was not an imposing on Gentile Christians of a responsibility to conform to the Mosaic Law or some portion of it but, rather, there was a confirming of standards recognized prior to Moses" in making the argument that the apostolic decree referred directly back to the law to Noah, which would not place a definitive restriction on transfusions.

That is found in Chapter 19 of the United in Worship book. Coincidentally, if you place the new Worship the Only True God book (which contains 21 chapters) and the United in Worship book (which contains 24 chapters) side by side, you will notice that all titles of the chapters are the same except for the 3 chapters that are missing from the new release. What are those missing chapters?

    • Chapter 14-- I Make a Covenant With You for a Kingdom
    • Chapter 19-- What the Mosaic Law Means to You (the chapter quoted from above)
    • Chapter 20-- Life and Blood- Do You Treat Them as Sacred

Since the new book is to replace the United book, thus making it obsolete; and combining this with the new blood card discarding incident ...hmmm....

Well, this stuff ain't copyrighted! Do with it as you will.

I really think the apparent disappearance of the blood issue in the new book

needs a good hard look - you could give it to someone in need and say

"So, this is all you need for baptism, huh? Where's blood?"

What new Blood Card discarding incident?

  • LDH

    Researcher,

Clink on the link in the upper left that says "Search" and enter "blood card"...you should get plenty of reading material.

Also, don't forget how the death of a child over the blood issue polarizes the JW community. It gives righteous over-much JWs a chance to talk about how they'd have responded in the exact same situation.

Something like this gives them a chance to dry-run and rehearse their arguments ahead of schedule.

Met, would you please tell me more about their offer to put the girl on the cover of Awake?
