A million thanks to all of you good people responding to my post regarding my daughter's surgery - it made me very humble and grateful, and my eyes very "watery" to read all the good thoughts and vibrations. Thanks to you all!

My daughter woke up last night after a looong surgery, and was very tired and in pain, as they had removed knots and stuff and things, and in order to get more working space, they blew in gas to separate the various inner parts, liver and stomach and uterus etc., to keep them apart when operating (man, are they capable of working miracles these days!), and so she felt as if her entire inside had been turned upside down and separated and looked into and put back - what was not too far from what had really happened. She has slept all night and is still groggy, but as far as she has been told, all went well and the things that shouldn't be have been removed. She'll be informed more later, but so far it's OK.

Again, thanks for the good thoughts - I'd like to think it helped not only mentally, but in reality, too. I'm going to recreate in a very special way - read the next post!

I am very pleased to hear that your daughter made it through surgery.

May she be on the road to recovery and receive a clean bill of health as soon as possible.

Old Hippie? I am Golden Girl.I just went through something similar with my daughter. She is 42. I didn't see how old your daughter was?

I am so happy she is doing well! My daughter ended up back in the hospital 2 times..you must have a very good Dr. My daughter's Dr lied to me. She said they never use Gas like you described. I knew I had read about it but you can't argue with a Dr right? Well you just confirmed what I read! My daughter had a lot of pain when she woke up and I figured it was from the gas,.her stomach was very bloated!..She had questionable tumors! So I am sure they did the same to her that they did to your daughter.

The couldn't explain why she kept hemorraging.. They just kept sending her home when she stopped bleeding (Sorry).

Anyway..she is fine now and I am glad your daughter is doing good!

    Best to your family...Golden Girl..

I'm SO pleased to hear your daughter is recovering...Do you mind if I ask which type of cancer it is?I am linked to a specific reproductive cancer charity and may be able to help her further if it is the same type...we have a team of cancer specialists at a top London Hospital, always up to date on the latest treatments; some of which are VERY new and effective, also a lot of emotional/personnal /post op .support.

Hip, I tried to post to you, but in the end I gave up. I was afraid of saying the wrong thing. I'm going thru this cancer thing with my mother at the moment and I'm not very objective. I did though wish your daughter well in my heart.

I wanted to tell you to make sure you learn all you can about your daughters disease. The internet has been a life saver in the case of my mother. She's been dealing with breast cancer for over ten years. I've researched bc extensively on the net and you soon learn that not all doctors are created equal. Make sure you know what your daughers options are and that she is being offered the very latest most effective drugs. Knowledge is power in cancer survival.

All the best to your and your loved one.
