  you certainly can't be slaving for the WTS if you're spending your time making money........much better that you "struggle" financially and stay dependent on the WTS for any hope.........

  edited to add: Farkel, I was wondering about that "door bells that work" thing! OMG, when I got dragged out in service as a pre-teen, I used to pray that the doorbell didn't work....

  Jim, did they mention if those "creaking gates" used to freak Jesus out too?

  hahahaha! i was a pioneer, and i remember praying for bible studies, and after a year and a half i had... NONE!!! i guess i wasn't praying, worshiping, studying, closing myself off from the world well enough to have such an important prayer answered...

  then again, maybe god knew all along that i would end up being an apostate and wanted to save me from being responsible for creating new jw's.

  thank god for unanswered prayers!

  Thank feck I don't have to listen to that poo anymore. Three days of boredom spent sweating my arse off in a suit. I got shivers last year when I tuned the radio into JoBo FM that was broadcast from the convention using the football clubs radio station.

  I spent many hours at Coventry, the earliest being the mid to late 60s...never saw a ball kicked there, how sad!

  A 2% increase in publishers only resulted in 19 being baptized. The last time I was at Coventry, early 90s the attendance was 15,000 on the Sunday, about 130 congregations. 19 is not a very praiseworthy number.

  I guess I know where my parents were at the weekend, chatting and napping in the luxury boxes.
