the KM of November 1996 states:

"A failure to contribute enough to cover costs will ultimately restrict what the organization may otherwise be able to accomplish in furthering the worldwide work."

So WTF happened to their "rocks would cry out" theory? I say, stop with all the donations and lets see how damn loud the rocks are!

When building the temple, the priests actually had to TURN AWAY donations. I wonder if Crooklyn has EVER had to turn away anything. Methinks not.

Oh.. and I thought that Jehovah would provide! What happened to faith?? I guess it comes in a very distant second to money. But the money is what it's about after all, isn't it?

So, let me get this straight. If the dubs don't give money, then Jehovah is powerless to spread the "good news". Hmmmm...

Maybe they should announce that if they don't get enough dough, er, donations that Jehovah will "call them home." Well, it worked for Oral Roberts.

Didja know that old Oral had a record company once? Yep, back in the fifties. It was a failure though. The hole in the records kept healing up. I suppose that would happen to the dubs, too.

Pretty soon, the JWs will be on TV wearing giant rugs like Jack Van Impe along with their Rolex watches preaching about donations at the very top of their lungs like old "no neck" Earnest Angley. Or preaching about tithing like Jim Bakker (who's gonna take the part of Tammy Faye?)

Anyway, it could be fun to watch.

Wait, didn't they have 'new light' recently that redefined 'the rocks' to mean any acknowledgement of anything they teach by someone not a member? (For example, every time hollywood put what the JWs believe to be god's name in a flick, they all get worked up)

Wouldn't that make producers, directors, and writers members of the 'rock class'?
