I'm glad that she was ok Ken. What a most frightening thing to happen. Sounds like it something that does happen to some children. Now I'm scared...

Altho I am always on red alert with my 2 girls. How much can you do to make sure they are ok without going around the bend. I'm almost at the same point as your daughter is, I am always going to her crib to make sure she is breathing despite having a breathing monitor on her.

I hope she settles down and is able to get some proper rest and enjoy her baby.

    Hugs to you all

    Hi All,

My wife and I just got home from visiting our daughter and she seems a lot better, and Emily is her sweet self, grinning and running around like usual. I vacuumed her floor while she and her mother talked out on the porch. I think she will be OK now. She still hasn't slept since yesterday, when the seizure happened but said she would tonight. It's not unusual for her to stay up all night.

LHD, I checked my email, but nothing there yet.

My parents said I had a seizure when I was little, the doc said I was alergic to aspirin, but I had a fever and I probably had the same type as Emily. I never had another one.

My wife had two women that she knew well that were shot and killed by their husbands last week. Both men were on drugs. What is happening to people?

On a different note, my brother attended the 50th. reunion of his school graduation and no one has died in his class. They are 68 years old. Sometimes good things happen.

    ((((Ken))))

I know how scary those are! I was 13 when I witnessed my two year old brother having one. He was ill and I was babysitting them. Mom and Dad were taking a nap. Of course, being 13, it horrified me to the point where I didn't know what to do. All I could do was scream. His twin woke up and started crying and Mom and Dad awoke from a dead sleep. Needless to say we were all terrified and confounded. Thank goodness we lived (literally) down the street from the local hospital. Some simple tests discovered he'd been struggling with a kidney infection, thus the high fever. Eventually he had to have that kidney removed, but within a week he was back to his two year old self. (read: testing everyone's patience!)

Albeit horrifying, he's now a perfectly gorgeous, highly intelligent, funny 19 year old! Makes me proud that he's so successful at college and has such a sweet fiancee. Everything comes together in the end! I'm glad to know Emily is doing well. Lisa just needs some time to recuperate. She did the right thing! (Sometimes adrenaline rushes make us lose some short term memory.)

Ken, it was nice to put a voice with a face.

I was correct. Here are some links. I would have called you back but neglected to get your number.

Hope these are of some help.
