Great story......and thanks for sharing it with us. Your experiences from within the heart of bethel must be interesting...and please feel free to share details - nothing like a little bit of dirt on the master puppeteers themselves - just think of it like sharing an experience on the platform at an assembly lol.

This place has been a fantastic find. I have close friends to confide in, but no-one really understands what an X-JW is going through like you guys. You're all helping me heal. I appreciate you all

This is so true...I felt the same when I first started reading and posting here....it has helped me establish new friendships and has become a fantasic resource with my own personal healing process.

I look forward to reading more of your posts Mackin...you have a lot to offer and there are no doubt many of us that will be able to relate to your experiences. Thanks again for posting your story.

Thanks for sharing your story Mack! I'm sorry your freedom has to come with such a high price tag as losing close friends and loved ones. Hang in there!

    G'day Mackin,

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I'm so glad you made it!

It was interesting for me reading your story to see how much reflected my own path to freedom: the inner-workings of Bethel and elder-dom being the predominant cause of me becoming totally disillusioned with it. Fortunately I maintained my deep trust in God's Word (not His organisation, of course!) and had a partner (Mrs Ozzie) who is a devout woman.

Let me tell you that things are no 'better' in the branch over on this side of the pond!

Being a bit philosophical, I suppose if I'd never seen it (the "corruption" thing), then I may never have seen the truth about the 'troof'. So we've got that to be thankful for, eh?

Anyhow, glad you made it aboard, hope to read many more posts from you.

    Cheers, Ozzie

Freedom means not having to wear a tie.

Mackin....Thanks so much for sharing your story....feel free to vent more about the "bethelite" experiences....The more I read about experiences from others in different parts of the world the more it reassures me that my own choice to leave was absolutely the right one...

Look forward to hearing more from you

    Hello Mack,

Thanks for your story. Your comments certainly ring true with me. I was never at Bethel bur 24 years at elders meetings and all that came with it made me sick of the politics and in-fighting that goes on

Everyone seemed to have an agenda. There is always the leader (not always the P O) then there is the one who is his best friend and always supports him , then there is the weak individual who goes with the flow because the others probably know best , and sometimes there is one like I became , who always disagreed and was regularly outvoted.. It is No Fun !

Things are the same in the U K . ... keep posting.
