What would it take for you to be happy in life? Does it take the fall of the organization, or just one person? Or does it take something else completely unrelated to the Witnesses?
Just wondering

I am happy.
Sure, lots of good things could happen to make me more happy, but that would always be the case.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!! I JUST tried to post this EXACT posting- but it said I had my limit today! Wow- great minds think alike :-) For me, I don't want the organization or any one particular person to fall. My mother is in the organization & SOOOOOOOOOO happy- it TOTALLY works for her. ALOT of people need the mind control & being told how to live, what to do, what to think, etc. I am glad the organization is there for those types of people. Works great for them- didn't for me- but good for them! :-) I am happy in life. I feel free. Still have ties & guilt from family "inside" but happier than I have ever been in my 27 years in. This website is helping me to make a mental break & be mentally free. This website has been a god sent! So, I am happy now :-) Course, a winning lottery ticket would make me REALLY happy............ :-)
Since I left the borg. I have found happiness. I got married to a wonderful man. I have all the basic necessities of life and a new found relationship with God. What more could any one need.
I have learned to be happy just as I am. Of course, I need improvement. I would be happier if there were no more people in the world who can be so easily exploited and fooled by the Watchtower and other organizations. However, I accept the world and myself as we are. After all, acceptance is the key to ease in life.
I need 48 hour days
I got a phone call from my sis the other day. A new ice cream parlor opened up near their place so they took my 19 month old nephew and bought him a kiddie ice cream with the works. Sprinkles as far as the eye could see! He was diving in head first, and stopped half way through his ice cream treat, made a large sigh, looked at my sister and her husband and said "happy"
It's all about the little things!
Ice cream doesn't make me giddy, but other stupid little things do. Like a good dinner, with good friends, and good conversation. Thunder storms at night to help me fall asleep, comfy pillows, letters from people I haven't heard from in a long time, sittin on the couch drinking good wine and staring at candles, sleeping in, correct change, free pop caps, silly people, learning something new...
Cripes, I am just giddy all the time...
~~~something else completely unrelated to the witnesses
Moe.
I have to agree with JanH. I'm happy. Just wish I lived closer to my friends.
