    Borgfree,

Didn't recognize your name but since I was df'ed about 1980 or so I wouldn't. I was in the North congregation. Interesting sidelight is that all three of the elders who df'ed me have also been expelled.

Do you hear from others in this area?

    Hi Kingpawn,

I am not sure, I may know who you are, only by hearing your name in the past. I was in the Richmond, Ind. congregation until about 1985?, then went to New Castle for a short time, then Muncie for a couple of years, then Greenville because my son was here.

I lived in New Paris for about 20 years. Richmond is the congregation you attend when you live in New Paris.

You probably know some of my family, Gardiners? Or someone I was a friend to, Liggett?

I really do not hear from anyone in Greenville who has left the Borg., except Mark L,. there are several here who are not active JWs but I think they consider me apostate and beyond their realm of acceptance.

We had a support group meeting here in Greenville for several years but have not had one for over a year now. We held it monthly and after several years it became more of a gathering of a few for lunch and talk, so, we thought we would stop for a while, then maybe have meetings every three months or something like that. We are considering having one soon.

I was also in the North congregation while I attended here in Greenville. One of the elders you refer to is probably Ron J.? I hear he started attending the Winchester, Ind. congregation and has now been re-appointed elder.

There was some really funny stuff going on in the Greenville congregations, elders disfellowshipped, elders children disfellowshipped, elders doing secret stuff and getting by with it for years before getting caught, then lie about it, etc. Jehovah was sleeping.

    Have a good day.

Sorry, no recognition of the names.

That's my first name and last initial--Lovejoy. I'm curious now as to who the other one is! :-)

Sounds interesting. What goes on at these meetings? Guess I worry about not having much else in common besides this.

Yep, that was one of them!

Let's see--I remember Gene J's daughter Kathy getting bounced, and Gene was DF'ed (he was an elder). Another one was Dwight S(?) and I complained once about the clothes his daughter wore, and was told she'd been counseled about it before. Any other stuff that was going on you would feel free to tell me?

Lizard, no offense taken. I like Cincy myself, and go there several times a year, but I do like Dayton because of its size - easy to get around, but lots of resources. I also like it because it is near so many larger cities. Don't care for Springfield - has a worn out look to it.

    Hi Kingpawn,

I guess I do not know your name after all. I was thinking you were another Mark in Greenville, last name starts with T. I will e-mail you with the name of the other Mark L., you may not know him, he moved here from Richmond after marrying a local girl.

At our support group meetings, everyone introduced themselves, (if they chose to) and then talked about anything they wanted to, the WT, or how it is effecting their lives. etc. We had a lot of discussion for as long as was desired.

Our group is Christian and at times there have been lively discussions between Christian and non-Christian people. I think that can be a good thing as long as it does not get out of hand.

I cannot think of who Gene J. is. I do know Dwight, in fact, three of my daughters married into that family. I don't think Dwight had any "title" when I was attending. His son was a ministerial servant when I left. He (the son) had remarried, to the presiding overseers daughter. (Dan B.)

    Kingspawn,

I don't think I have ever met him. Is he married to Norma? If so, did you know Norma won a city council seat several years ago, and is still, I think, a counselwoman?
