The house was full yesterday!Family,friends,ice cold Molson Canadian beer,and Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey.You need plenty of refreshments to celebrate Canada`s birthday!(LOL)Everyone had a good time.How was your Canada Day?

We had a great day OUTLAW.

Beautiful hot weather in Canada's capital (replay today!), BBQ with friends, good music, good company, fabulous food (prepared lovingly by Scully), kids going to friends for a sleepover, a drive to Brockville to enjoy the peace and quiet, a Tim Horton's ice cappucino, watching "A Beautiful Mind" on video (cool movie by the way) and enjoying the fireworks....

Went to Edgefest to watch some bands. Not as great a lineup this year but I still had fun. Downpoint was when "Cake" a band I was looking forward to seeing, was forced off the stage by people throwing water bottles at them. Disappointed and embarassed.

Well they didn't help their cause out that's for sure. During the entire day there are a few assholes that will throw an empty bottle towards the stage. They're just plastic remember. Anyways, Cake came onstage (On Canada Day mind you) and informed the audience thaat eventually America would come up with an excuse to take our country over for the water. And as you all know, Canadians being the polite people that they are, they decided to give him the water right now. lol As sad as it was to watch a band I wanted to see booed off the stage, it WAS kind of amusing to watch the lead singer whining that if one more bottle was thrown he'd go home and listening to the keyboardist call the crowd fucking assholes into his mic :P Ah well. The worst thing about the whole thing was that this meant that Nickelback was on the stage sooner and for more time. Worthless formula band. Bah.

Now Voltaire, what kind of a dumb question is that?! Everyone knows that Canada is where Moses sent the 12 spies into..........hehehehehehehehehehe................

There was a Canadian program on TV a few weeks ago, and it was called "Talking to Americans". The jist of it was: Americans know virtually NOTHING about Canada and to prove it, they went and spoke to some very prominent Americans and told them completely insane things about Canada and the Americans believed it!!

They interviewed one Professor from Harvard University and told them that Prime Minister Tim Horton approved something (can't remember what, but this guy didn't even realize who the Prime Minister of Canada really is).........

Or they interviewed students and told them that Canada just finished getting 800 miles of paved roads and would they like to congratulate Canada on that?! Of course they would!

They even pulled one over on George W. Bush when he was still Governor - they gave him a totally fake name for Canada's Prime Minister and he didn't even bat an eyelash.

The funniest one was when they were talking to some Americans on their yachts and they told them that Canadians couldn't do the same thing as we had no water on either of our coasts. Believe it or not, the Americans were kind enough to offer their services to us, and they said they saw no problem with Canadians using their coasts!

I'm not sure what Americans are taught about Canada in school, but I know when I went to school, we had to know ALL 50 States plus their capital cities, before we passed the class..........
